11.4ka variety of strategies for acquiring information from electronic resources;I am knowledgeable with using various strategies to acquire information, including traditional methods, such as paper based publication research in a library, as well as using electronic databases, search engines, discussion lists, etc. The information I acquire could be distributed in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, online PowerPoint format, Zip format, etc and I would have no problem accessing it. I evaluate electronic information based on first hand implementation of a specific process, collaboration with other professionals, and source validation.

11.10sacquire information in electronic formats, including text, audio, video, and graphics;I am capable of acquiring information in a variety of file formats, include MP3, AVI, HTM, DOC, MPEG, WAV, JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, etc.
11.11smodel respect for intellectual properties when acquiring information in electronic formats;I practice what I preach with respect to avoiding appropriation of other's materials without given credit for the source, as well as making sure all of my software licensing is valid and up to date.
11.12sidentify, create, and use available file formats including text, image, video (analog and digital), and audio files;I understand the distinction between various file formats related to specific types of media, and can create them when needed. For example, I know that an AVI file can combine video and audio, but in its raw form, on the editing board, can actually be a combination of AVI / Video footage and WAV / Audio. This is not all inclusive, but provided to serve as an example. On graphics, I frequently apply a JPG format to photographs and a GIF format to custom created graphic images.
11.13sdetermine and employ methods to evaluate the design (for content delivery) and functionality (for navigation and interaction) of WWW pages and to compare the method employed with other established evaluation methods;I have engaged in user surveys and group assessments to test a Web I created, as well as relied on HTML and browser compatibility tools to determine whether my coding is accurate and can reach the widest viewing audience.
11.14sdemonstrate skill in testing the accuracy of acquired information;Per my response to 11.4k, I am skilled and frequently use a variety of methods to test the accuracy of acquired information, including first hand implementation of recommend processes and evaluation of results, conferring with other professionals, and determining resource validity, such as relying on .edu, .gov, and .org resources before .com resources.
11.15sinvestigate electronic security methods and choose a method to protect a Web server from unauthorized access and negative intentions;Prior to publishing a Web, I research the vendor acting as the domain host to see what security measures they employ to ensure my Web is secure from hacking.
