We started planting Native trees down one section of our marae. This acts as a shelter belt against the wind
from the north. The big canopy trees (Pohutakawa, Totara etc) are planted well away from any structured feature,
and smaller trees are about 1mtr from the fence line (Cabbage tree's, Mamaku, etc). If you wish to plant
a Native tree, bring it back to the marae let us know and we'll organise a day to plant your tree.
