Fall 1975 Posing in front of my '71 Chevy Monte Carlo (check out those Earth Shoes!) Fall 1981 Attempting my best McCartney impersonation in front of a Beatles portrait I painted myself (it wasn't really that hard to do and I'm certainly no artist - it's sort of a paint-by-numbers hack job). Summer 1990 Paying homage to The King in Memphis. Favorite 70s Singer/Group: - Besides the usual suspects (Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Bowie, Eagles, etc.), I'm also very fond of Bread, America, Badfinger and Todd Rundgren -- just about anything with a strong melody. Favorite 70s Song: - What else? Stairway to Heaven Favorite 70s Food: - "Husky Junior" hamburgers from Hardee's (revealing to the world here for the first time their scrumptious "secret sauce": Thousand Island dressing!). Favorite 70s-related Quote: - "Who needs the world when you own the moon and stars." - from the 'Friends' movie poster from 1971 (Elton John composed the soundtrack for those who are unfamiliar with the flick, BTW). Favorite 70s Toy: - I was a little too old for toys then, but my favorite '70s relic is a Marantz 2230 stereo receiver that I first bought in 1975, stupidly traded in about five years later, and re-acquired through eBay a few years ago (now my pride & joy). Favorite 70's TV Show: - All In The Family (see also All In The Family) Favorite 70s Movie: - It was first released in 1967 but since I didn't see it until 1972 I'm going to cheat a little bit: The Graduate. Favorite 70's Memory: - Going to a Bread concert on Nov. 27, 1972. Also Elton John on Nov. 9, 1974 (still have the original ticket stubs). Super Seventies RockSite!
