Article VI
General Provisions
This Article states three things:
- Public Debts- All debts held prior to the adoption of the Constitution are still valid
- The Supreme Law (Supremecy Clause)- The Constitiution is the Supreme law of the land, and all judges and laws are under it
- Oaths of Office- All members of the government are to hold to an oath saying that they will support and abide by the constitution, and no religious test will ever be required to hold a governmental position in the US
