I had to take Henry to the Zoo, I have been promising myself to do that the last couple of time he had been in Auckland. I finally managed to do it. He did enjoy it, again running everywhere. He got to this elephant and wanted to get up on it. There were some 8 - 9 year old girls that also wanted to get up, and being nice girls they let him go first. Everything was fine, until they also wanted to get up on the elephant, Henry was not about to share with anybody. So we had a few tears.
After a ride on the train, we had a look at the playground. He stood for ages at the bottom of this very long slide, watching the children coming down, probably about 10 minutes. Finally he decided to go up the hill. I stayed at the bottom wondering if he would come down through the slide. Well he did. I wasn't sure if the other children lining up for the ride, had talked him into to it, or just pushed him down. But he was quite happy, and said 'again' and wondered up the hill for a second ride.
Dinner here in Kumeu. He is very proud because he was drinking from a proper glass. I was very proud because he had eaten some strawberries. Usually he doesn't, so I hadn't given him any. Naturally he then wanted some, and he ate them.
If you are wondering about the hat, Yes he wears it all the time. We encourage children to wear a hat outside, and he just loves this one, He would wear it to bed given half a chance.
