     On this website, we will introduce our design of a wheelchair treadmill for the disabled lower body population.    

     The main purpose of this project is to design a "treadmill" type device that a person who uses a wheelchair could use while in the wheelchair to help improve his/her cardiopulmonary system.  The device will be easily accessible by the person while in the wheelchair, support the wheelchair and patients safely, adjust for varying speeds, and adjust for varying levels of elevation. This device can be used in rehabilitation and wellness centers to improve the endurance of persons who use wheelchairs.
