Does the Bible say "Thou shalt not kill"?

It has always bugged me when people quote mistranslations of the 6th
commandment saying that the Bible teaches "thou shalt not KILL" when in the
original Hebrew it says "Don't MURDER." I just finished going through the

Is the Bible compatible with Science?

Genesis has plants created on the 3rd day. Sea creatures and
flying creatures both created on the 5th day. On the 6th day, land
creatures (including humans) were created.
The paleontological record is quite different. About 3.5 billion
years ago, life began in the sea. Roughly 450 million years ago, the
first plants on land appeared. 370 million years ago the 1st amphibious
creatures crawled onto dry land. Flying creatures didn't appear until
at least 164 million years after that. Modern Humans date from between
200,000 and 50,000 years ago, though Homonids have been around for a
couple of million years.

GENESIS FOSSIL RECORD
1. Plants 1. Sea Creatures
2. Sea & Flying Creatures 2. Plants
3. Land Creatures & humans 3. Land Creatures
                                        4. Flying Creatures
                                        5. Modern Humans

You will also note that the plants are created before the sun,
which did not appear until the 4th day. I have heard theories that
the sun was just not visible from the earth's surface until the 4th
day, but wonder how well the plants could have managed without direct
sunlight.

Genesis 1:30 records that "And to ALL the animals on the earth and
to every bird of the air and to everything that creeps on the ground -
to everything in which there is the breath of life - I have given every
green plant for food. And it was so." Do you expect me to believe that
T-Rex was a vegetarian?

According to a literal reading of the Bible, Adam was created roughly
6100 years ago. If that is true, he was not the first man, since men
had been walking the earth for tens of thousands of years.

The Bible states that people were made in the image of God. Since
our DNA is only 1.6% different from that of a Chimpanzee, does that mean
that Chimpanzees were created in 98.4% of the image of God?
