The Friends of Erlic

Silk...Where do you start with her? She is probably the sweetest person around. One who will help you in time of need. The best friend or enemy one could have. Attractive and yet deadly. She has helped Erlic in many a rough time. But by the same manner, Erlic has helped her also. Known to many as a fighter, although a weak one, she relies on her magic abilities when they are needed. She also relies on her womanly charms to sway those that fall into her web. Silk is also an accomplished assassin. This is probably why Erlic likes her so much.

Anna...Known in the world as Galanna Roodma, niece to the king, she escaped her homeland to travel the world under the protection of Erlic. It wasn't known who she really was until their journeys had taken them to places where her knowledge of kingdoms proved invaluable. She fell in love with Erlic, but he could not return her affections. True friends, in more ways then one, they became. But their lifestyles were always going to be a hindrance to them both. Erlic's profession didn't allow him to get "close" to people. He protected her as best he could. They still remain friends to this day, even though she strives to convet him.

Il Chu...An elderly man who has become a good friend of Erlic. His main goal was to extend the teaching of Erlic in the arts of the Ninja. Because of his strong oriental beliefs, and Erlic's western heritage, they have locked horns on more than one occasion. But friends they still remain. Although rigid in his beliefs, Il Chu still accepts Erlic for who and what he is. He may not understand Erlic's thought processes nor agree with them, but tolerates them nonetheless.

Akida...Brother to Il Chu and hermit. Akida and Il Chu do not get along. Akida's thought processes range from the obscure to the most impossible. In this case, he never makes any sense. And it is this that Il Chu opposes. How can a man of oriental heritage be so loose in his thinking. Akida has taken a liking to Erlic. Erlic can appreciate some of his ideas and how to put them into perspective. The two of them share a lot of time in the oriental arts of CHI. Il Chu does not know that they constantly experiment with the unknown or the impossible. Erlic constantly refers to Akida as Master, a symbolic honor bestowed to the wise men of the Orient who have achieved the impossible and unthinkable. Erlic still has much to learn from this Master.

Hanse...A fellow thief that Erlic befriended. The two of them shared many adventures together. Especially when it came to breaking and entering buildings that were impossible to break in. Hanse always said "There's always a way around things. You just have to work them out." Their excursions got them in high places, especially that of the kings who would ask them politely to ask for what they needed rather than enter their castles....unannounced. Hanse was the spokesman, while Erlic was the follower. Because of this, Kings and various other nobility acknowledged both individuals as accomplished....'workers'. Hanse has since passed away. Erlic has yet to avenge his death. It will take time, but it shall be done. Hanse was a very, very good man, and his passing brought a heavy sadness.

Turin...A professional assassin and leader of a guild. He has learned to accept Erlic and his unusual methods of productivity. He and Erlic have worked together on many assignments. They have also worked against each other while at the same time working with each other. Something Turin finds very redeeming in an individual. Because of Erlic's travels, Turin is kept abreast of all information pertaining to his business. Erlic works with Turin.....not for him. This arrangement is agreeable with both individuals.

Marz...Erlic's gakusai or primary student in Oriental Martial Arts. Stubborn, hard headed, obnoxious, caring, good student and friend. The hardest task that Erlic has ever undertaken was to bring this 'boy' under his wing and teach him the ways of the Orient. Although there are times when Marz acts like a stick of dynamite waiting to explode, there are also times when he acts like a juvenile child, absorbing all the information that Erlic has to teach him. Currently, Marz and Erlic travel together with other adventurers so the boy may learn more about the world, as well as the teachings Erlic has to offer.

Surata...An oriental blind slave that Erlic purchased and set free. He has set her up in her own home with a young girl to help Surata out. She constantly calls him 'Erlic immara' meaning champion. Surata has some sort of sixth sense that helps Erlic at times when he is with her. He constantly checks on her when he is there to visit her. A very good friend and confidant to Erlic.

Izumi...An oriental girl whose village burned down and was ready to commit 'sepuku'. Erlic took her under his wing and has helped further her training in the martial arts. She is extremely talkative and bubbly in nature. A very sweet individual who helps Erlic out in various areas of the continent. She always refers to Erlic as her 'Sensai'.

Ravin Rue...One of the most wanted thieves in Bizmar City whose exploits have caused other thieves in the city to imitate him. So, it is no surprise that every description given of Ravin is always different, for he always travels in disguise. No one has ever seen this thief with the exception of a choice few. He constantly tries to help the lower class people and is considered a hero by most of them. The various crime lords have tried in vain to capture him but to no avail. He has become a close friend of Erlic.
