What we have learned from the past.

Many things have transpired in Erlic's life that have led him to his current state of affairs. I will try my best to put into perspective the events leading up to the present.

From his standpoint of living on the continent of Varience, Erlic has learned to be careful in his choices of friends as well as enemies. . It is these choices that he has had to live with for most of his traveling days. His choices of companions range from the most obscure to the most unimaginable. His reasons are simple...companions are a necessity in the scheme of things. It matters not to him if they represent the unknown, nor if they represent that which is not understandable. What he does know, is that his choices represent a vast grouping of individuals that have been most helpful in the past as well as in the present....and with some luck, will help him in the future as well.

His enemies have proven to be worthy adversaries. Some have not lived to tell about it and yet others who survived, have become somewhat loyal and respective of Erlic and his ways. So, it is not unusual, that they would procure his services for their needs. Providing, of course, that the services required are in agreement with Erlic's values of life. Of course, he will always make that decision wisely, based on the facts that are given to him, as well as the facts that he himself gathers. He will not harm those he believes to be just, even if the facts prove otherwise. He will continue to follow his 'path' as best as possible, regardless of the opinions of others concerning himself; after all, Erlic Eastlore is responsible for his own actions and will always answer to his inner soul. This is what keeps him alive; it is also what spurs him on to unknown and uncharted areas of life.

Erlic has recently found temporary quarters in the city of Bizmar. His original objective was to simply rest before continuing onward. Due to factors beyond his control, his involvement with the Medieval Tavern introduced him to new friends as well as some old friends. He has found that corruption is a most common practice within the walls of Bizmar City, where law is lax and muggings, beatings and killings are very much the norm. Because of these practices, he has been able to befriend a youth whose prior interventions within the city where those of a most unhonarable nature. With patience and resolution, he has taken the boy under his wing as a student, so that he may understand exactly the true nature of what is possible within the world, and to expose him to the beliefs of the East that hopefully will guide him to a better path.
