Character summary: Dr. Michael Horton, C.O.S., descendant of Dr. Michael Horton Sr., is madly in love with Carrie Reed. He realized this when she finally got married to Austin, but wouldn't admit his feelings. He recently revealed these feelings after many fantasies at the medical conventions and while he comforted her. Mike is the Chief of Staff at University Hospital. His rival, Craig Wesley, is scheming to get Mike out with the help of Nurse Ali and his wife Nancy. Mike is now feeling pressure to stay up with his grandfather's standards of the hospital. He is struggling with crazy Ali to persuade her to drop the sexual harassment case she has against him. He promised her the head nurse job and hooked up with her in bed. Then, she didn't get it. He told her it wouldn't work out. Mike has a son Jeremy, by his ex-wife. He lives somewhere in Jerusalem or Germany or something. His grandma, Alice Horton often comforts Mike and reassures him that everything will be all right. Lucas Roberts is Mike's half brother.

Personal opinions: Mike and Carrie seem like a good couple. I kind of wish they would be together, but not after what Carrie did to Austin. That's not right. I think it is very retarded that Mike never talks to own son. But, I am sad that Mike will be leaving the show! He is a good actor and I'm sure many people like myself will really miss him.
