Commentary!!

The new Scooby movie: SCOOBY DOO ON ZOMBIE ISLAND, is actually a pretty good movie. The original cast is back, NO SCRAPPY, and they're at it again. Go Mysteries Inc! Daphne Blake is a reporter now and along with Fred Jones, they go reporting on haunted houses. Velma Dinkly owns a book store specializing in mystery books. Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo are bouncing from job to job. They work as secruity guards. Well, while on tv, Daphne recounts one of Mystery Inc's cases and wishes the gang back together. So, as a birthday present, Fred gets the gang and they go off searching for real ghosts. Their search leads them to New Orleans and to the house of Simone... um, something something(sorry). She and her housekeeper, Lena, claim their are actually real ghost on their island, Zombie Island. Well, before too long the gang sees weird stuff going on and Shaggy and Scoob are scared crazy by a bunch of zombies. What happens next was even too unpredictable for me. All in all, this is actually a really good movie. The special effects are really good, too, especially with the zombies and stuff. The only bad sides to it are that Casey Kaseem, the original voice of Shaggy, didn't return to do the voice. The guy was does him is okay, but it's not the same. And of course, Don Messick, the voice of Scooby, died in 1997, so some other guy is Scoob. In my opinion, he's really bad. He makes Scooby look dumb and stupid. The highlights, though, is the whole movie. There are running gags. One is where Scooby asks "Dog? Where?" whenever anyone talks about him as a dog. The surprise ending is really, well, surprising. VELMA GETS A MAN!! And a cute one at that! Go Velma!! you have to see the movie for that. All in all, I give it a four out of five stars.
