The Anadarko Karate Institute has been in operation at the same site since 1984. Over eight hundred students have received instruction.
The trip from white belt beginner to Black belt takes three to five years. Most students study the basics and make it to green belt or higher. Only seven have made it to Black belt it is a tough school and rank is earned.

Students at A. K. I. won over three hundred trophies, in open competition, in the first five years of operation. Photos of these decorate the dojo wall.
