The front spare
wheel well has been replaced - this is a well known trouble area on Beetles as water
gathers here and eventually rots the metal away. The photo also shows the '56 body being tried for fit on the '69 chassis. Apart from the brackets in the rear arches needing to be relocated, the fit was perfect. |

| Green and white primer. The whole car was primed in white then the green/grey was sprayed over the top of the white. |  |
