Dog Bite
.
A B and E in progress, on Main Street was the call,
Containment units on the way, a crook was soon to fall.
Ken Lemckert and his faithful dog, Duke, were on the way,
Both were primed and ready, they had a place to play.
.
That crook had better watch out, no way that he could hide,
Soon the dog would have his butt, he was going for a ride.
The building search was started, where could the bad guy be,
Duke was searching high and low, the perp he could not see.
.
The radio was yacking, air time soon was full,
No-one could get a word in, there scarcely was a lull.
The panic button had been pushed, the doggie had engaged,
It seems the bad guy had been found, he really was enraged.
.
He was looking for an exit, somehow to get away,
Ken and Duke had other plans, they wanted him to stay.
Total non-compliance, was the watchword of this crook,
Ken ordered his surrender, all was by the book.
.
Still the man would not comply, Duke was then set free,
“Take him” came the terse command, he grabbed him by the knee.
The scream of pain was awesome, those canines sunk right in,
The suspect dropped onto his face, in payment for his sin.
.
Alas, there was a problem, because Duke made the bite,
The suspect now compliant, no more would he now fight.
It seems that Duke, our hero, had made a choice right then,
He checked out both, and bit the leg, of his faithful master Ken.
