Welcome to my cage! My name is Sparky. I'm a yellow and

green budgie parakeet. I'm a few months old and I joined

this family on Christmas of 1998. Juliannah gave me to

her hubby as a gift. I had to hide out in Marcie's room

until the big day. I had to be real quiet, (sure) so her

hubby wouldn't hear me. It was really hard. I love to

sing and make noise (I am a bird, after all). I did

pretty good until one day when Marcie's cat knocked my

cage off the dresser. I wasn't hurt, but I had to squak

about that one.

I really like Juliannah's hubby, Les. We are great

friends now. He taught me how to say, "Pretty Bird" and

make cute kissing sounds. I learned how to sit on his finger

and ride around on his shoulder. I get to go everywhere in

the house this way. When he comes to take me out I always

hear him say,"Are the cats outside?". I wonder why they

can't stay inside and play with me?

I have a really cool cage. I have two bars to sit on, a nice

bone to sharpen my beak to perfection, a big mirror

with little balls that I can slide back and forth, a big

stick with yummy bird seed stuck to it, and my favorite,

a toy with six circles connected together and a bell attached

to the bottom. I love to ring the bell. I also like to twirl

feathers around my beak like a baton. I'm pretty good

at it!
