There wasn't time to hesitate. It was now or never. Aja took a deep breath, placed her palms together and prayed. This better work, she thought. Secretly, she knew it might not. With the Heavens above her, she counted to three.

"One... two... three!" Aja flew at the speed of light to Taylor's body. She then placed her palms on his back, surging heat and electricity through him. The force was enough to move Taylor a few yards over.

And when Aja looked over, she saw the truck pass, only inches away.

With that, Aja sighed deeply. If she had to do this everyday, being Tay;s guardian angel was going to be harder than she thought!

"Mrs. Trence, you need to find someone else to be his guardian. I'm just not cut out for this job!" Aja complained at her weekly check-in.

Mrs. Trence smiled at Aja from across her desk. "Aja, I think you're making a hasty decision."

"A hasty decision??" Aja exploded. "It was my first day on the job, and he almost got run over by a truck! What if I have to save his life every day? I just can't do that!"

"You're not a quitter, Aja," Mrs. Trence told her. "And besides, you'll never get a chance like this again. This boy is special. He has a gift-- and so do you."

"A gift for doing nothing," Aja muttered under her breath. She sighed. "Okay, okay. I'll stay with him.

Mrs. Trence grinned. "I knew you would."

Aja started to stand up. "Uh, Aja? "Mrs. Trence put in. "Just remember-- the faith is with you."
