This was our 10th wedding anniversary. As a gift, Tammy gave me a frame for the Karst picture. I just need to find it.

1999-05-21 Friday

We went to Half-Price books over by Brice Road. Tammy picked up The Little House Baby Photograph Album.

1999-05-26 Wednesday

Tammy received the documents back from the Chinese Consulate in New York. She packed them up with the photos, check and other documents and sent them to Great Wall China Adoption in Austin, Texas. This was our dossier which was now on it's way to China after going through our agency for final checks.

Twelve of the documents had to go through four levels of endorsement:

• Noterized
• the Notary then had to be Verified at the County (for some documents this was a redundant step)
• the State had to Certify the documents
• and the Counsulate had to Authenticate them.

Whew! Just remember N-V-C-A. Or NV and CA. It looks like the state abbreviations for Nevada and California.
