RESPECTING ENERGY

LIGHT Greetings. Welcome to LIGHT TIMES. This is newsletter Issue #10. The purpose of LIGHT TIMES is to support us all in the sharing of LIGHT -- for the sake of EARTH. This is a participatory newsletter for LIGHT-oriented people of all ages and stages in life.

A special welcome goes out to everyone new to the idea of LIGHT and/or the LIGHT TIMES newsletters. EARTH needs us all!

LIGHT TIMES is written for laypeople, for the everyday person. I believe that a focus on you and me as people living on EARTH today is a key to assisting us all who live here on this planet.

The focus of these newsletters is grounding that LIGHT is simple.

This Issue #10 of LIGHT TIMES explores a more thorough discussion of energy and the importance of respecting it. Included also are some of the many ways to respect each others' energy.

Respecting energy.

Another one of those tall orders, perhaps, but very practical and a quick way to raise happiness levels all the way around.

A place to begin this discussion, this exploration is with energy. All of life is energy ... some form of it ... and everything about life is energy.

Breathe

Looking at life from within the perspective of energy gives us a simple way to empower ourselves and each other. This is because looking at life in energy terms simplifies life. This approach brings life up to basics ... and energy is basic, very basic.

If all of life is about energy ( and it is ), then respecting energy becomes particularly important.

Respecting energy. A huge subject.

To give us an idea of how huge, consider this: Respecting energy can heal our individual and collective woes. Every form of abuse comes under the very large category of energy disrespect.

Breathe

Respecting energy.

Where to begin? Ideas include:

(1) We could begin with an experiment. For one day, introduce the idea of looking at life as energy. Notice anything that comes out of this new perspective.

(2) We could notice the quality of how we relate with ourselves and others. Others includes our families, our pets, our friends, other people, and other animals. If we treat others with respect, but we tend to be neglectful of or hard on ourselves, that won't do. Respect includes everyone across the board. This will show us how much we respect energy in our daily lives.

Breathe

There are three main areas to work with within the subject of energy respect. They are

(1) Recovery = Increasing Functionality

= Healing Dysfunctionality

(2) Raising and Maintaining High Ki

(3) Tuning Into The Subtleties of Energy

Breathe

(1) Recovery = Increasing Functionality

= Healing Dysfunctionality

Recovery programs are a way to actively heal addictions and abuse. This makes them a major avenue within the process of energy respect. Recovery has many facets, many aspects to it. Some of these include awareness of everyday habits, setting boundaries, honoring our and others feelings, our use of talking and words, and taking good care of ourselves -- in other words, noticing the quality of our relationships and interactions with self and others.

Recovery is wonderful. The importance of its ability to increase energy respect cannot be overemphasized. However, in many instances, recovery programs are a beginning -- which brings us to:

(2) Raising and Maintaining High Ki

By themselves, recovery programs go only so far in healing energy disrespect. Therefore, it is very important to combine them with an awareness of and focus on ki.

Breathe

LIGHT TIMES Issue #6 explores ki and ki development in depth. To review, ki is the Japanese word and a Korean word for the universal energy that resides all around us and within us. It is a form of energy that is infinite and always available to us. Ki is vital universal energy. It is the energy that beats our hearts, pumps our blood, and keeps the planets in orbit. It is very big.

We can tap into the universal supply of ki simply by our awareness and intention. We can do this anytime ... during any activity ... during movement or stillness. Awareness is the key ( pun intended ).

The four (4) ki exercises included in Issue #6 are here as well. They are:

Ki Raising Exercise #1

1. Intention. State that your intention is to raise your level of ki.

2. Breathe.

3. Relax.

4. Pay attention.

5. If you feel drawn towards movement go ahead and move as you like.

6. Breathe.

7. Relax.

Ki Raising Exercise #2

1. Intention. State that your intention is to raise your level of ki.

2. Breathe.

3. Relax.

4. Lay down on your back.

5. Flatten your back -- that is, do a pelvic tilt.

6. Relax and breathe into your back.

7. There are ki reservoirs in your body. Two of these are the one in your lower abdomen and the one in your lower back. You can relax and breathe into each or both of these.

Ki Raising Exercise #3

1. Intention. State that your intention is to raise your level of ki.

2. What do you like to do? ( Excludes addictions. )

3. Do it. It could be any activity or activities that support ( nurture and nourish ) your inner core, your essence. Examples include rest, food, exercise, religious or spiritual practice, reading, and writing. Many more examples abound.

4. Breathe.

5. Notice how you are feeling.

Ki Raising Exercise #4

1. Intention. State that your intention is to raise your level of ki.

2. Inhale deeply.

3. Exhale slowly.

Note: It is normal to experience dizziness and/or nausea while focusing on our ki. Why? Ki levels have the tendency to reach plateaus for many of us. Dizziness and/or nausea is a sign that the ki is going up. ( By the way, this is also what motion sickness is. ) It is a normal part of the process for those people who experience it. Remembering to breathe and monitor and pace ourselves is most important.

Breathe

Ki Raising Exercises #1 and #2 are a beginning step for those people who are new to the idea of ki. Once we are familiar with the feeling of ki, then we can play with it even more.

Ki Raising Exercises #3 and #4 are examples of a more advanced step. More examples of advanced ways to increase the level of ki include:

Food and water raise ki. Rest raises ki. Meditation raises ki. Ascension techniques raise ki. Play raises ki. Exercise raises ki. Martial arts ( budo ) raise ki. Swinging on a playground or backyard swing raises ki. Spinning ( clockwise and/or counterclockwise ) raises ki. Riding in an elevator raises ki. Carnival rides raise ki. Reiki attunements raise ki. Conscious use of words raises ki. Intention raises ki.

Focusing attention on our ki/chi/prana -- that is, vital universal energy -- can assist us in the following ways:

1. Aids with healing processes.

This includes all addiction recovery programs and recuperation from illnesses of all kinds.

2. Strengthens us from the inside out.

This is especially important information for those of us who are survivors of abuse and who are actively involved in our healing processes.

3. Increases our level of self-esteem.

4. Increases our happiness.

Developing our vital universal energy ( our ki ) accomplishes all of these and more together. The benefits are many: including a stronger sense of our inner and outer presence. Energetically, presence is very important. Increasing our level of ki decreases our vulnerability to harm of all kinds. We all respond to everyone else's sense of presence. It is usually an unconscious thing, but we all do it.

Breathe

The addition of a ki focus with a recovery program creates incredible movement in the recovering person. The result is higher self-esteem and increased self-love more and more quickly.

To expedite the healing process even further and faster, brings us to:

(3) Tuning Into The Subtleties of Energy

Introduce this area and the healing process spirals even higher. The subtleties are vast. They include energy knots, cords ( energy sucking = negative cords; energy sharing = positive cords ), splits, karmic overlays, auras, telepathy, the use of words, the overall heightening of the senses, transmutation, and the perception of vibrational frequencies.

Tuning into energy can be gross and it can be intricate. There are many, many aspects within it. It comes up to focus. Our focus and our attention determine just how intricate. It is up to us. We each have the ability to develop our energy to the point where we can easily tune into the many subtleties of it. That is our birthright.

Breathe

LIGHT TIMES highly recommends a combination of all three areas:

(1) Recovery

(2) Ki Development

(3) Energy Subtleties

for optimum functionality and overall clarity in all the aspects of our daily lives.

Breathe

Reiki and Dowsing are two examples of resources/tools that are readily available to assist us with developing and maintaining our energy. Searching the Internet yields much info. Remember, though, to use discernment.

We recommend Joey Korn's dowsing website:

Breathe

Energy respect.

Respecting each other's energy. It's about honoring each other's energy. It's about supporting self and others in this process. So ... it is very big.

Noticing the quality of our relationships and interactions with self and others is a great beginning point. Some guidelines to help us along the way are:

Taking very good care of ourselves Politeness Common courtesy Honest, yet gentle, expression of feelings Respecting personal space Aware use of talking and words Honoring of agreements -- renegotiate them if necessary Driving safely and courteously Equal exchange of give and take Supporting LIGHT in each other

Breathe

So ... energy respect.

All of these various aspects increase our self-love and self-esteem. Tapping into our:

SELF-LOVE = ENERGY RESPECT

and

HIGH SELF-ESTEEM = ENERGY RESPECT

You see, energy respect is a huge subject. It is a LIGHT subject, so much is included within it. Everything it entails is everyone's birthright. It is a given for everyone. Everyone enters into the world healthy, whole, and with full access to functionality, high ki, and perception of the vibrational frequencies. Reclaiming what is already ours is what this entire process really is. This is LIGHT.

So ... a quick way to raise happiness levels all the way around is by increasing our self-love, our self-esteem, our ki, our LIGHT, and our appreciation for EARTH. LIGHT TIMES recommends doing this through beginning to notice all of our interactions from a respecting energy standpoint. Try it for yourself, if you wish, and see what kind of results you get.
