Kuch Kuch Hota Hai sweeps NRI awards at New York

Bollywood mega-hit ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ is the most popular movie among Non Resident Indians in US. It won most of the big awards including best picture award at a ceremony held in New York.
The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony where world famous pop singer Michael Jackson was honoured with Humanitarian Award.
Shahrukh Khan was himself there to receive the award for best actor in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Kajol won the honour for best actress in the film but could not make it to New York to receive the award.
The film was also chosen as best film. The movie’s director Karan Johar won best director award.
