HOW TO CHANGE YOUR EMAIL & WEBPAGE BACKGROUNDS
Want a new
background, to go with your new text? It's a
snap! Just go to your "Signature" box, & type
in:
(body
bgcolor="colorname")(/body)
If you have
changed your text color & size, add it to this
code, like this:
(body
bgcolor="black"text="red"font
size="4")
Your result should be red text,
on a black background!
NOTE: Please see note about RGB Colors on Previous page!
But, what about
those cool, picture backgrounds, like landscapes,
stars in space, etc.? If they have a .gif at the
end of their URL's, it's a breeze to add them to
your email! JPG files must be properly sized, &
are a little tricky- especially in webtv email!
For regular webpages, JPGS are great! I will be
adding a page on JPG's, as soon as I can! In the
meantime, stick to GIF files, OK? They are really
easy! Just type in THIS code, & make sure that
the text color you choose doesn't "clash" with
your background! For instance, you wouldn't be
able to see light blue text very well, on a blue
sky background, would you? Just remember that,
OK? Here's the code:

BY NOW, YOU MAY BE SAYING..."OK! I TYPED IN THE
CODES, JUST LIKE SHE SAID...WHY THE "#@%&!"
ISN'T IT WORKING?"
Don't get discouraged, or upset,
(or mad at me,LOL!) if it does not work right away. Keep it up, you'll get it! It's not as hard as all that!
If your code won't work, Go over what you typed-
carefully! Check it twice, then check it again! Just to make sure!
Sometimes, all it is is the teensiest
little typo, that is keeping your code
from working!
Remember- I've only been at this since May of 1999, & I published my first page in July '99! If I can do it, YOU can do it! Sure, I goof up, sometimes- it can happen to the best of us, LOL! :-) Take your time, YOU WILL GET
