last year. Winning the Stanley cup! Back 2 Back !! Drapes, or Homer Simpson as we call him is having a great season with the Wings. He and Karen Newman star in comerials for Detroit Ford. He is the center of the famous Grind Line. Beside him on the line is Kirk Maltby and my other feature this month Daren McCarty. The threo really love to mix it up while on the ice. Drapes, once said by Mickey Redmond , "was picked up for a buck!" Now is a speedy physical center for the Wings. He was the defencive player of the game in game 4 sweep of the Ducks, in round 1 of the playoffs. Good job Drapes!! |
 Daren McCarty
is a very pysical power foward on the Grind Line. In the regular season he was known for his fighting ability. Now he is also known for his scoring.
As a valued member of the famious Grind Line. he offen gets a chance to show off his scoring ability. Although he isn't setting any scoring records , he is helping his team alot . Daren does alot for his team. He can score, get assist, and my personal favorite ,though the body around. Man! can he check. Getting checked by him must be like being hit by a train. Daren loves his rock and roll too! Not only can he play hockey he can sing too! He was on a CD that was a tribute to the injured wings. Way to go Daren! I use to think Stu Grimson was the tuffest Wing. Some of u may say Bob Probert, but I'd have to say Daren McCarty! I love to watch him cock that left hand and get you in his sites with his right hand. He isnt a goon though. He is a man , like most of us. He is a hard worker. Good job Daren , and lots of luck in the Playoffs. |
