Welcome to Ti's page. Ti is my Appaloosa yearling filly, & this will be her first year of showing. This is kind of my journal of her season on the P.O.N.Y. Assoc. circuit; hopefully she will be able to add some ribbons to her stall this year. But the main thing is her education at halter, learning about new things, all the excitement of the shows & becoming the lady I know she can be.
Training & showing her this year is Diana & Steve Ayers of Homestead Quarter Horses of Sherman, N.Y. She does look kind of funny there in the barn with all those Quarter Horses with her spotted butt, you sure don't have to ask which one she is :o) True to her Appaloosa heritage she has begun to loose her baby tail & mane, which I really wish she would have waited a little longer to do. Yep, she has about 30 hairs on that little tail & her mane is thinning to wisps but still long enough to lay down proper. Oh well, what is an Appaloosa with out fun! At least she doesn't have to have it pulled!
Ti went in to fitting & training for show on April 10, 1999, a raw yearling full of herself right out of the pasture. They must have seen some potential in her because they said, "yep we will take her on". And of this date May 23, 1999 she is becoming quite a lady & growing like a bad weed, with care & quiet training methods that they have.
Ti's first show will be June 6, 1999 at Stagecoach West in Irving, N.Y. She will be in the Yearling Halter class & the Color Breed class. Unfortunately she has to much hock action to be in the Longe Line Class. Blue eyes & Rat Tails are not a good thing to have around here in the Show Classes, but what can you do when you don't know you're going to get them. The "Judges" didn't like them, OH WELL! But that's ok we will take what she will give & only ask her to try her best.
I am very proud of her & her accomplishments, my little rat tailed Appaloosa. I specially want to thank Steve & Diana for all their hard work bringing her this far. With out them it would not have been possible.
2001, Ti will be starting her training with Laura Lee Thomas, from Union City in the spring 2002. We will see what she is best at & all I can ask of her is to give her best. No matter what she is fitted to do she will be with Wisky & her other pasture mates.

In 2009 Ti came out of retirement after having 2 foals to go back in the show ring, much to her dismay. She clearly prefers hanging out with her pasture mates & maybe an occasional ride around the area to getting dressed up to show. She did well & I'm very PROUD of all her accomplishments!
