Unlike many mainstream spiritual books, Ms. Cavanagh places a responsible emphasis on living a spiritual
life and goes on to provide an outlined plan. Its rare today to see someone skillfully break things down and explain the “why's”
and “how's” of daily spiritual thought, voice, and living. Ms. Cavanagh does so with ease.
“ Gifts of the Spirit” is both scholarly and straight forward in its approach. There were
times when I felt the author was speaking directly to me, traversing time and space to deliver great spiritual truth for me
to expand and decipher. In addition to her style of writing and well researched theories, readers will appreciate that Ms.
Cavanagh does not profess “guru” status. Instead the reader is provided with options and encouraged to delve within
and seek answers to their questions, accepting nothing at face value.
I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is either embarking on a new spiritual path or already
on one and feels ready to see the beauty of other spiritual paths clearly and respectfully outlined.
What can I say about this book? First off, you don't need to be of any particular faith in order
to gain something from Gifts- I've shown it to my friends (One's a Taoist, a couple are Jewish, a few are Catholic, and one
agnostic) and they have all ordered it! (Except one, but they're waiting for their work bonus :o) It is a truly thought provoking
book, well worth the price, I truly hope Cate decides to write more, I have never seen books in this catagory with such high
calibur writing!

I look forward to more of this authors work. Common sense+++. If you like reality, Cate Cavanagh is a wonderful teacher. Cate Cavanagh is an INCREDIBLE writer and has PHENOMENAL insight. She truly does embody "Gifts Of The Spirit." Paula Quick. www.thearomacomcierge.com
As "Gifts of the Spirit" explores the unique perceptions of a cross section of belief systems, the spirit that is ready to open itself up to a broad and different awareness will be encouraged to further investigate individual truth, empowerment and spirituality. Gifts is a clear, tough, no nonsense discussion of what can be learned and why the student shouldn't dabble in majicks before he/she knows what he/she is doing. Yes, there is an answer for the void within and, as Cavanagh says, there is a way to not only fill the cup, but to create the cup. To create your reality, to follow a spiritual path, requires hard work, self-discipline and courage. The interconnectedness of life requires that the student understand that careless "spell-work", words and thoughts have repercussions. Not only is Gifts an exploration of non-traditional spirituality, Spiritualism, Buddhism, Native American
Teachings and Wicca, it is an excellent manual to protect the student and those around him/her. As a long time student of
spirituality and comparative religions, I can say that Gifts is not just for the beginner. Search Engine Optimization Specialists
