Roxio Easy CD Creator
(If license agreement comes
up, select Agree.)
Usually when you insert a blank
CD disk Roxio will automatically come up. If it does, select the type of CD you
want to burnusually either DATA or MUSIC. Unless,
it is an all music CD, select DATA.

Check to make sure you
have the correct burning tool (DATA or MUSIC).
- In the left lower sidebar about midway down the screen, you will see data project or
music project.
- If the tool is incorrect, go toà FileàNew CD ProjectàSelect the appropriate choice.
Naming
the CD:
- Notice the small CD icon in the lower left sidebar. There
is probably a series of numbers beside it. Right Click on the number. Select
rename from the dropdown menu. Type the name of the CD
Add files to the CD:
- To Select Source files: Use the toggle arrow to select location of files
to be burned, i.e., My Documents/Desktop/etc.
- Click on the folder or item you want to add to the CD
- Click the ADD arrow.
- Continue Selecting files/folders and adding until you have all the files or until your CD is full.
To
Burn the CD
- Click the red record button.
Record CD Setup
- Select the Options button
- Under Record Method, select Finalize CD (This will allow you to play the CD in any CD reader
drive.)
- (If you want to add to the CD later, you can select Finalize Session Don't finalize CD. For example if your we creating a CD of photographs and wanted to add to the CD over
time, then leave the CD open until you have added all the pictures, then Select Finalize CD.)
- Then, select Start Recording button.

CDs
CD-R: These CDs can be added
onto as long as the CD is not finalize...select Finalize session; do not finalize CD You can not
erase or change anything that has been "burned" to the CD. However, you must Finalize the CD to play the
CD in every CD player.
CD-RW: These disks are usually a little more expense than
CD-R. These disks can be erased and reused.
