Comments: Great piece of equipment but.....(isn't there always one)
The instructions which come with it for how to use it can result in aggrivation and/or symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
(which I have personally experienced and am awaiting surgery)and Rotator Cuff Injury (which I also suffer from)
In review with physio the following ways to use the device will decrease &/or eliminate symptoms caused by using
the Silent Nite. *N.B. description refers to use by a right handed person*
1)position device parellel to the front edge of your med cart and at least 3 inches from edge with the crushing end to
the left
2)pull the crushing end toward you to the edge of the med cart (or 2 to 3 inches
3)grasp the handle of the crusher palm down
4)if you now lift your hand 3 to 4 inches keeping the back of your hand parrellel with your forearm and without flexing
your wrist you will see that the only movement of your arm is in the hinge joint of your elbow
5) use the heel of your hand on the handle not the palm
6) many small bites make for a powdery result rather than just a larger flatter pill that also can't be swallowed
