Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) is a small island in the indian ocean of
65,000 square kilometers. Despite the smallness Sri Lanka has a wide range
of geographic features and is rich in natural beauty. Large parts of Sri Lanka is covered with tropical forests, with hundreds of of rivers flowing through them, often cascading in awsome waterfalls. The southern and western regions of Sri Lanka have only two seasons, wet and wetter, but few parts of the country can almost be mistaken for deserts. The other regions experience a rainy season and dry season. These areas look realy wonderful just as the rains start to ease.
I can go on and on about Sri Lanka, and in the travel page, I have! |
