Liturgy & Music


            

    COME be a part of liturgical ministry at St. Edward! Ministries include helping in alal parts of celebrating Mass (singing, weldoming, decorating, reading God's word, teaching the littlest members, distributing Eucharist) and reaching out to others in the Richmond community.


    MUSIC
    ChIME I
    - singers & instrumentalists in grades 3-5 rehearse once a week during the school year. The group ministers at one 9:00 AM liturgy per month as well as at special celebrations (Easter, Christmas, etc.) This program combines with religious education with instruction first and them music rehearsal. You may choose to join for music only.
    ChIME II - singers and instrumentalists in grades 6-12 rehearse twice a month during the school year. The group ministers at one 5:00 PM Saturday liturgy per month as well as special celebrations. This program combines with religious education with instruction one week and then music rehearsal the next. You may choose to join for music only.
    Instrumentalists - improve musicianship by playing your instrument with any one of the groups leading song at liturgy. Some experience required and rehearsal times vary. Call Luci at 272-2948 ext. 208 for detials and guidelines or email us at the Parish Office.

    LITURGY
    Hospitality
    - be a part of a team of ministers who volunteer at liturgy times convenient to you. Welcome and/or help people as they arrive for liturgy; help with collections; hand out bulletins; assist those with special needs. Seeking people who love to smile!
    Arts & Environment - use your eye for design adn help decorate our worship space each season. Plant lovers and flower arrangers also needed for care of living arrangements.
    Lectors - be a part of a team of ministers who read the word of God at liturgy times convenient to you. A clear voice and desire to proclaim God's Word is all that's needed. Training provided.
    Children's Liturgy of the Word - help teach the littlest members of our parish about the readings on Sundays. Alternate with other team members and use materials supplied by the Church to help explain God's message.
    Eucharistic Ministers - help prepare and distribute the gift of Eucharist on teams which minister at a liturgy convenient to you. Training provided.
