UCS
Uplink Control System. Software used to support the secure delivery of digitally compressed services. DigiCipher II's system provides the ability to authorize and de-authorize individual decoders on an event-by-event basis.
Unit Address
A unique number that identifies and distinguishes one decoder form another.
Unit key
A key that is unique to each decoder. Messages intended for a particular decoder are encrypted under this key.
Unit keylist
A file consisting of unit addresses and their corresponding unit keys.
Unscrambled
An encryption mode designation indicating that the channel is being processed into the DigiCipher waveform but is not encrypted.
Uplink
A sending dish. A transmitter sends its signal to a large parabolic dish antenna that is aimed at the intended relay satellite.

Universal Time Code.
