These are a few ways to avoid being scammed.

REMEMBER!!!!!

NEVER,EVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR PASSWORD!!!

IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW WELL YOU KNOW SOMEONE! BELIEVE ME,BEING SCAMMED IS NOT FUN! IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME AND THEY TOOK EVERYTHING I HAD!

1.Do not buy the Silverlight or the Faladian Knights Sword for any more than 150 coins each.People will try to scam you by selling it for more than it is worth.

2.Just because items are rare doesnt mean they are expensive.Don't buy red spider eggs or any other type of item that is hard to get for too much money.

3.Do not except free upgrades. Some people may offer to "upgrade" your armor to better and stronger armor. These people are lying, there is no such thing as upgrading items. Also, some may try to "enchant" your items. It is true that you can enchant amulets, but if anyone offers, they are most likely just trying to get your amulet. Also, you can only enchant amulets so if they offer to enchant anything else, it is 100% a lie.

4.Some people may offer you a chance to enter a "lottery."These people are just trying to take your money. There are some rare time when someone is actually holding a lottery,(they put all the names in a hat and draw one),but I still wouldnt take the chance.

5.There are many websites out on the net claiming if you give them your screen name and password, they will supply you with lots of money or items.Trust me,100% of these websites are lying. They are just trying to steal your account.
