Friends Have you ever wondered what friends are for? Are they for woes and happiness or are they just for show? How many friends do you consider your true friends? What made them true? What made you trust them when trust has to be earned, not given? To me, friends are people you know. They can be mere acquaintances or people whom you actually do know, do things together and work together. However, what qualifies a true friend? Somebody who is there physically or emotionally when you desperately need help. Somebody who has been through thick and thin with you. Somebody who does not give a lot of excuses just to avoid helping you. Somebody who tells you the truth no matter how painful it is. Somebody who does not give you up for fame, wealth and love. Somebody who does not back stab you when you are not around. Somebody who understands you. Somebody who would support you through your correct decisions and guide you when you are wrong. Somebody who would not spill the beans on you. Somebody who will be with you for most of your life. Somebody who is there to help you through you most difficult decisions and times. There are so many qualities to qualify somebody as your true friend. We can have many friends but we have to have at least one or two true friends. Life would be so pitiful if we have nobody to talk to. True friends become family. You need not afraid that they will con you out of your fortune like any other friends. At least, when your parents passed on, you will still have these true friends there for you, helping you through the pain. You will not be left alone. You still have somebody. Friends are easy to find, but true friends are really difficult to find. All of us have to open our eyes and heart big enough to see the true colours of a person. Always be skeptical because you will never know what is going on in people's mind. Even your best and closest friend may betray you. Be smart. Beware! What the hell, if you really could not find any trustable friend, keep a dog! They are man's best friends! |
