Muslim Girls Youth Group

The Dar-ul-Ihsan Muslim Girls Youth Group (for high school age students): the aim of this group is to support Muslim high school girls in developing a positive Islamic identity, and in gaining the experience of faith in action.

The group focuses on the following areas:

–acquiring knowledge of Islamic beliefs, practices, and behaviours, necessary in nurturing individual faith;

–acquiring knowledge of Islamic history and its relation to other major religious faiths;

–becoming aware of the specific challenges of being Muslim in modern society, and developing positive approaches to meet these challenges;

–building a positive peer environment that supports faith, community spirit, and good role models of behaviour.

Students have also chosen several group projects and activities that strengthen Islamic identity and encourage the growth of faith in action. (See below)
