Cows, especially those raised for dairy products also suffer in factory
farms. Dairy cows are being impregnated as often as possible so that they can produce the most milk possible.
These calves they are forced to have are then used for veal and slaughtered. Usually the cows have 2 or 3 calves and
then they themselves are slaughtered for beef.
The cattle raised for beef only spend a year grazing outside, and
then after that one year of their lives, they are sent to slaughter. The cattle often don't get the necessary vet care
or attention that they need either. These cattle are also castrated (without any anaesthetic), and hot branding, all
while fully concious.
These animals are fed hormones to gain as much weight as possible in the
shortest amount of time.
