When:
1998

Bigger, Badder and Better than Ever!

In a quest to find an ancient meteor rumored to have life-giving powers, the story unfolds in a much more nonlinear fashion than Tomb Raiders I and II, traveling through five huge worlds. This time, Lara begins in the jungles of India, traveling around the globe from the Arctic pole to islands in the South Pacific trying to get to the root of a story involving ancient artifacts and mysterious archaeological discoveries.

There's loads of great new moves; cool vehicles; and new "toys" that Lara has at here disposal to use against enemies, new and old.

Don't miss out on the fun on the Racetrack
all you need to do is find the Key

Never could understand why the Racetrack key is kept in Lara's aquarium

The Racetrack can be quite addictive

Requirements: For PC - Windows 95. Also avaible on CD for both PC and Mac.

Play through five huge worlds, in any order, on the quest for an ancient meteor rumored to have life-giving powers. New puzzles, environments, and even a few old enemies, like the infamous T-Rex await you. Journey from the jungles of India to the icy wastes of Antarctica, across the rooftops of London and into the depths of Nevada's mysterious Area 51. Enemies exhibit pack behavior with an improved AI. There's even a new and improved landscaping system (incorporating triangles) for smoother surfaces and architectural structures such as domes, arches, and vaulted ceilings. There's more textures; greater detail; dramatic lighting effects such as shafts of light; rippling, transparent waterwater effects; new reflection effects; weather effects like rain; and a faster game engine. Lara's new moves, including the crawl, the monkey swing, and the speed dash, help the heroine out of sticky situations.
