This is the storyline that records every important event happened in the world of 'Revolution', revolving around a few selected characters. Please read the storyline after every set of mission is completed so the plot of the story will be understandable. Thank you. Note: Rule 3- Accept and don't complain about any battle or mission written like that.

(Continued from Day 18 - December 17)

Without warning, both Ruby and Emerald launched a sneak attack on Conoly, Joseph, Nicole and Jusuchi, giving the four no chance to dodge. "Where did the two of them came from?!" Nicole move herself to safety as Conoly blocked the attacks targeting her. "I recognised her....." Jusuchi said, referring to Ruby. "Sure you do," Joseph replied. "She the Jewel Keeper of ruby, almost everyone knows that."

Jusuchi pondered about the matter, not sensing the danger around him. Not long, Ruby summoned her devastating Ultimate Crimson Dragon while Emerald did his split-image skill, creating a similar clone of himself. The four RD members not knowingly were caught in a four against four battle and Emerald and Ruby don't seem to be fooling around unlike before.

As the battle continued, Conoly spotted an old face he had never seen for years. "He has awaken....the Unknown Force is back.....!" Nicole gasped as Conoly said. "The Unknown Force is apparently still at the first stage of his awakening, so if we were to destroy him now...." 

"Leave this to me!" Joseph exclaimed and whipped out his katana, dashing towards the still Unknown Force but was blocked by Emerald's clone (or was it the real Emerald?). "Grr....Out of my way!" With a single mighty slash from his katana, Joseph sent Emerald crashing into a nearby pile of rubbles. Meanwhile, Ruby was blocking Nicole's way, leaving her no choice but to use her limited amount of 'Meteor Strike', knocking Ruby out in a single round.

"Ruby?" Jusuchi suddenly shouted out Ruby's name and tried to go near her but she soon disappeared into thin air. "That wretch Ruby teleported again!" Nicole growled. Conoly had his hands full too when the second Emerald (can't tell whether he is the fraud) attacked him but Conoly was skilful enough to overcome them with his 'Nullification' and countered back twice with 'Chain'. Jusuchi was having a hard time fighting, after seeing Ruby and was losing 'Teardrop' quickly but Joseph managed to eliminate the Ultimate Crimson Dragon and Nicole defeated both Emeralds, leaving the Unknown Force. The final battle in Lost Ruins had just began.......

Dust swept through the temple, and Joseph, Nicole, Jusuchi positioned themselves for an all out attack on the Unknown Force, with Conoly leading them. The foursome were about to charge when suddenly the Unknown Force, a shadowy figure with his face covered and the height of approximately two metres rosed from his deep slumber, striking the party with a devastating 'Thunder Bolt', so strong that was unlike any other seen before.

Conoly was able to dodge the tech but Joseph, Nicole and Jusuchi were hit by it. Although Joseph nullified the bolt with his 'Nullification' tech, he tried to use 'Reflect' to counterattacked but shockingly, the Unknown Force didn't seem to be affected by it. Same thing happened to Nicole's 'Reflect', it was like as if he was absorbing the counter. The Unknown Force seem to be invincible but upon further inspection, Conoly realised that Unknown Force was also relying on the 'Nullification' tech and told the rest that since that tech has limited usage, once the 'Nullification' runs out, all of them can attack freely.

With new confidence, the group attacked the Unknown Force but only Nicole with her 'Max' skill; 'Tension Breaks' was able to hit him, alas the 'Max' skill had no effect too. Once again, the Unknown Force cast 'Thunder Bolt' on all of them, knocking Jusuchi out. "We are too late..." Conoly stammered. "The Unknown Force had reached his final stage of awakening!" 

"We will still have to destroy him anyway." Joseph replied. "I just got a feeling that his 'Nullification' is running out." As the streak of lightning hit Joseph, he nullified it and countered with 'Reflect'. Nicole tried 'Reflect' too and surprisedly, the Unknown Force was damaged. The nullifying wall was broken! Although 'Nullification' was taken away from their worries, the fact lies that the Unknown Force was now much more powerful than its first stage. The group would have no problem defeating him at that time, if not for Emerald and Ruby interference.

"The time has finally come for me to take my revenge...." Conoly muttered before unleashing his 'Max' skill: 'Fated Star'. With the power of Nicole's second attempt on 'Max' skill, both damage penetrated through the Unknown Force's high defence, reducing him to a miserable amount of 1,000 HP! After the trio endured another round of 'Thunder Bolt', Joseph dived towards the Unknown Force. As he got nearer to the Unknown Force, Joseph stopped, positioned his katana and strike his enemy with the Lightning Strike (Joseph did this countless time already)!

The so-called unbeatable was finally beaten, and within seconds after his death, the Unknown Force's body disappeared without a trace but Conoly was pretty sure that he was gone for good. "That was easy...." Joseph commented. "Although I did use up a lot of my 'Nullification'." Not aware, a strange katana was formed after Unknown Force disappearance, and flew towards Joseph. If he was one second late to catching the katana, Joseph would have been sliced into two.

Nicole ignored Joseph and turned to the dazed Conoly. 

"I am not sure why you want to take revenge on the Unknown Force," said Nicole. "But since he is now dead thus your revenge is completed, are you going to quit RD Union?" With no hesitation, Conoly replied, "Even if the Unknown Force is finally gone, his descendent, SoF is still alive and I must help to eliminate him or else the same thing might happen to what the Unknown Force did to my friends and family."

"Well said!" Joseph slapped his hand on Conoly's back. "My reasons for joining RD Union is almost the same as yours and I will hunt down SoF, even if my life is at stake! Anyway, what's your purpose in joining RD Union?" Joseph asked Nicole, causing her to blush slightly. "Erm...um...kind of getting bored with a normal life....." Nicole tailed off, sounding uneasy. "And also...because of Saisuke.....hey, why do I have to tell you guys all this?!"

"Ha ha, cool down Nicole!" Conoly laughed, a rare occurrence because Conoly was always a cool and sometimes violent person. "Let's drop this topic, we did better regrouped with the rest and wait for Tai return with the Vulture before we can leave this island." The other two agreed with Conoly and carrying the fallen Jusuchi, the trio left the destroyed temple.

While the battles in Lost Ruins had finally concluded, Gareas was snoozing in the co-pilot seat of the Vulture as Tai took control of the airship. It had been almost a day since their departure in Lost Ruins island and they were reaching their long-awaited destination, the continent of North Artic!

"What a lovely view! I have never seen a place covered with so much snow!" Mel shouted excitedly as she glaze out from the Vulture's windows. "It is the winter season and has the biggest snowfalls at the time of the year." explained Tai as he lands the airship at a helipad almost invisible by the snow covering it. "Whew.....it feel so good to be back!" Tai said, stepping out of the airship with Mel and Gareas following behind him.

As Tai stepped out of the Vulture, people around him started whispering to one another, staring at the arrived strangers. All of the sudden, a little boy from the crowds of people started shouting excitedly. "Lookie, lookie! It is Mr. Tai!" The people went silent for a moment before suddenly crowding Tai, Gareas and Mel as if they were stars.

"Young master Tai, we have been waiting for your long return from your trip to destroy evil." A bald old man greeted Tai politely. "You are just in time for our festival!" From a gossiping crowd, they soon changed to warm-hearted people after realising that Tai was back. "What this festival thing all about? I thought it was some kind of urgent matter?" Gareas asked Tai as the bald old man escorted them to the Highwind's home.

"The festival is to celebrate the years the Highwind clan had protected the world from evil and it is important because it is a traditional custom for the latest line of Highwind descendents to be present in this annual festival and that means me." responded Tai. "I guessed I got you wronged. I thought you were trying to escape from battles." Gareas apologised. "Anyway, I didn't knew that you are such an important person in North Artic."

"Nothing to boast about." replied Tai. When the group reached Tai's mansion, passed down from Highwind's various generations, Mel was shocked by how huge the mansion was, although it was only three stories high. "Young master, the festival will start soon so please be punctual." The old man reminded Tai before leaving him to his house. "Make yourself at home." Tai said and Gareas quickly sat on a fur-made sofa. Gareas was about to doze off again when all of the sudden screams from outside the mansion startled him, including Tai and Mel too.

The three rushed out of the mansion and saw a big group of SoF Merchants dressed properly in fur-coats terrorising innocent bystanders that were setting up the decorations for the festival. "SoF merchants!" Tai stuttered. "How did they get here?" 

"There are other things much to worry about than this!" said Gareas as he flung out his revolver, frightening townspeople around him.

"SoF sure knows how to create fights for us, no matter where we go....." Tai joked as he too pulled out his shotgun, followed by Mel and her rifle. "Time for a ranged combat!"

Both sides had long-range weapons; the merchants with their shotguns and Tai, Mel and Gareas with their own custom weapons. Passer-by and townspeople scrambled away to safety, making things a lot more easier for the RD team to concentrate. Gareas tried firing his revolver at a few of the merchants but he missed them. "Yikes...those merchants sure did their training!"

"They sure did improved..." Tai agreed as he couldn't hit any of the merchants with his shotgun. "But they wouldn't win, especially in my home-ground!" Tai sprang up from his the place he was hiding and blast nearby merchants with his 'Thunder Bolt' tech. Mel tried to kill a merchant with her rifle but was spotted and Gareas covered her, just in time to take the damage that was suppose to be meant for her. As Gareas ran out of his safe spot, he was open for fire and was injured as he attempted to save Mel, although he managed to evade most of the shots.

"You scums are going to taste my 'Max' skill!" Gareas grinned as he reloaded his revolver before unleashing his 'Max' skill. As the skies above turned dark, Gareas stood in position, took aim and after two to three seconds, he pulled the trigger of his revolver, firing a huge beam of laser at a few merchants, destroying them instantly. Gareas had just used his new 'Max' skill; 'Zero Remix'!

Tai was no bad either as he performed his 'Max' skill twice; 'Artic Breeze', freezing some of the merchants to death. The rough gun fight continued for some time till there was only one merchant left. As the remaining merchant was weaken by Tai's 'Thunder Bolt', Mel tried to kill him but was shot instead, soon losing consciousness. "Why you...!" Tai grunted and swung his shotgun into position, killing the last merchant with a single shot. The bloody fight in North Artic was finally over.

Mel's android body was badly damaged but luckily Tai knew a mechanic in his hometown that is an expert when it come to robots and stuffs. Even after a scary encounter with the SoF merchants, the townspeople continued preparing the festival as it must still go on no matter what happened. With Mel back to her normal state, the trio enjoyed themselves at the festival and Mel widen her world to more new things. The following day, Gareas and Mel returned to the Vulture as they mustn't let the others in Lost Ruins wait for them while Tai waved farewell to his fellow people before boarding the airship. "Thanks to you, I enjoyed myself last night." Gareas thanked Tai as the Vulture took off to the skies...

The Vulture was at the shores of Lost Ruins, and all the RD members were in the Vulture's war room discussing on what to do next. Their previous target, Unknown Force had been destroyed for good and their next aim would be to put an end to the SoF's rule but it wouldn't be easy as there are the Jewel Keepers that are protecting him.

The best way was to get rid of the Jewel Keepers one by one before attempting to take on SoF himself but to locate the Jewel Keepers wasn't an easy task either. To hasten things up, Gareas suggested that they should split up and collect the remaining jewels before meeting back at HQ.

"Gareas," Nicole walked up to Gareas. "I wish to meet up with Saisuke one more time so if you don't mind...." Her voice tailed off. "Hiwatari Saisuke?" Kyo, Gareas and Eijay replied together. "No problem," Gareas told Nicole. "I heard that Saisuke is the new Keeper of sapphire and maybe you could persuade him to give up the jewel."

"Thank you!!!" Nicole joyfully exclaimed. Because of some secret reason, David decided to join Nicole on her hunt and Kyo offered her his service too, to locate Saisuke as he was the last person to actually saw him. "You might need my help too." Eijay said in a serious tone. 

"The more the merrier!" Nicole chuckled and Eijay gave a slight smile. 

Jusuchi soon raised an issue on the two missing SoF's envoys, one of which he is concern about. "Ruby and Emerald was around when the Unknown Force was resurrected and were seriously injured by us so they shouldn't be able to run far." explained Jusuchi. "If we can track them down, we would be earning two new jewels!" Rydia added and she decided to join Jusuchi along with Gyo, Ashton, Hiead and Tobira.

"The Vulture still need some repairs that can only be done in HQ so I would be going back to HQ first then." Gareas announced to the group but Joseph persuaded Gareas to let him take the Vulture back instead. 

"Nicole need your help more, and I am free anyway so I will fly the Vulture back for you." Joseph said. "I will be going with Joseph too as I wish to do some self-training." said Takamura. Rex replied also that he needed a break and he wishes to go back to HQ too. The remaining members (Conoly, Tai etc.) also decided to return to HQ.

The group soon splitted into three different parties, one finding Saisuke, one to track down both Ruby and Emerald and the other to return to HQ.

After a night of flying, the Vulture approached the familiar large building that lies in the heart of Dilbada City. "Glad to be back!" Tai commented as he and most of the passengers on board the airship stepped out.

A few engineers were waiting for them as though they had already expected the Vulture's arrival and immediately started repairing after the great airship halted its engine. Among the engineers, there was a tall, dark-haired youth with a katana hanging loose on his waist. With a cold expression, the lad 'greeted' Joseph by shaking his hand for a brief moment. "Horizo Akira, from Macabe RD HQ. Ready for duty." The lad declared.

Joseph greeted Akira in return and immediately realised that he was a new member transferred to his team. "We are now...off-duty so maybe you would want to get to know the others in your new team." Joseph suggested to Akira. "There is no need for that," Akira responded. "I am already familiar with all the members, just that I wasn't introduced to the team yet."

"You are Joseph Dodge, a member of 'Lethal Tempest', am I right?" Akira continued and Joseph just nodded.

"I was from 'Lethal Tempest' but not anymore. The clan was totally destroyed by SoF years ago." Joseph replied in a grieve tone.

"Not quite true." Akira said seriously. "A few weeks ago while on my way to this city, I met another person with flanking and superior dodging skills of what seemed to be from 'Lethal Tempest'." Joseph doubt Akira's words and was about to leave when suddenly Akira added, "My family, the Horizo know most things about the various clans in this realm and I can be sure that it was flanking skills that I saw previously."

Joseph stopped and stared at Akira. "What do you gain from telling me all this?" "You don't need to know." Akira truthfully replied. "Although I can bring you to the place where I spotted that person, if you like."

"I don't trust you, but there is no harm trying...so why not?" Joseph grinned. "Okay, when are we leaving?"

"Sorry, but I just overheard everything." A towering shadow approached both Joseph and Akira. "This could be really interesting." It was Rex. "This doesn't concern you, Darlest E. Rex." Akira sternly said.

"Yes, but it doesn't concern you too, whoever you are, human." Rex retaliated. "It will be exciting to see another living member of the 'Lethal Tempest'," Rex muttered to himself. "But he could be a impostor and that can give me a handsome reward if I hand him over to the authorities."

"What are you mumbling about?" Joseph asked, looking at Rex with suspicion. "Nothing much." Rex replied and he turned to Akira. "May I ask who might you be?" 

"There is no reason for me to tell you but just to let you know, Akira is my name." said Akira. The trio had a long conversation and before they knew it, they were already on the way to the town where the so-called survivor of 'Lethal Tempest' was last seen by Akira.

The party of three, led by Akira entered a small nearby town which was buzzing with life, filled with dozens of shops. "This place is so crowded! How are we going to find him?" Joseph asked. Rex scanned around him for any awkward character but noticed a group of SoF Merchants wandering around.

Rex signalled to Joseph and Akira to try to avoid contact, and the both agreed. "Let's just ignore them this time round." Rex proclaimed. "We can't make a scene in such a crowded area." The trio were about to move away when suddenly they felt a strong gush of wind whizzed past them, heading towards the group of Merchants. "Dodge Flanking!" cried someone and a single Merchant was knocked down in a split second. 

"Dodge Flanking?!" The three chorused. "He must be the one!"

Although the man who the trio recognize as the one they were looking for was strong enough to take care of the Merchants all by himself, Joseph decided to lend a helping hand and Akira & Rex decided not to leave this matter to Joseph too and rushed into the battle.

The battle was intense as the SoF Merchants were a lot more stronger than before but alas, both Joseph and Rex beat the stuffing out of them.

The so-called 'Lethal Tempest' member was injured after the fight and Joseph reached his hand out to help him up but the man just sat still on the ground, soon giggling away in a weird and sinister way. "Something is wrong with this person..." Rex commented and Joseph was in a slight state of shock. 

"This is no member of my clan! This is a SoF Illusionist!" shouted Joseph and without warning, the man transformed into a black faceless shadowy figure. "Thou shall banish you all!" The Illusionist screamed. "Illusionist-Lord's Claw!" A long dark arm soon shot out from the Illusionist's body, and accurately hit Joseph on his chest but, Joseph's topaz jewel; Dual Erase instantly erases of the attack and Joseph returned massive damage to the Illusionist with his newly acquired katana, 'Enigma'.

If it was merely a Merchant, it would have died already but this Illusionist was definitely tough and one blow from Joseph was still not enough to even weaken it. "Grr...Illusionist-Lord's Claw!!" Yet another dark arm sprang out of the Illusionist but this time it hit Akira, taking away one of his Teardrop. Enraged, Joseph and Rex charged at the Illusionist but it easily evaded their attacks.

"Illusionist-Lord's Claw!!!" As soon as he heard the sentence, Joseph activated his topaz jewel to erase the Illusionist's upcoming attack. He then counterattacked, reducing the Illusionist's HP to 1,000! 

"All work and no play, keeps you alive to fight another day." Joseph recalled his old motto as he gripped his katana firmly before slashing the third and final blow on the Illusionist...

Battle Rewards

Joseph Dodge received 'Dark Mask'!

The man who was believed to be from 'Lethal Tempest' was actually an impostor. Joseph hung his head low for a moment of silence, accepting the fate that he was the only survivor of the clan. "Looks like I was wrong this time..." Akira muttered, breaking the silence.

"Come on," Rex grabbed Joseph by his shoulder. "Let's not waste time and head back to HQ. There's no point staying here anymore." Joseph was still and soon broke into a series of giggles. "Whoa!" Akira got hold of his katana. "Is he an Illusionist in-disguise too?"

"Just joking!" Joseph laughed and Akira, Rex were relieved. Joseph was back to his old self and the party headed back home. "SoF," Joseph mumbled. "I will get my revenge on you soon...!"

On the same day, at this moment, Jusuchi and five other members were searching up and down for the two Jewel Keepers. "If we continue to search like this, it will take forever!" Rydia was getting irritated and Ashton was trying to cool her down when suddenly Ashton's twin headed dragons started flashing and soon enough, Ashton was being possessed by the dragons again. 

"Oh goody! Maybe the possessed Ashton can hasten up the search!" Rydia cheered. True enough, Ashton started chanting, using a sacred method of identifying nearby energy wave to search for Emerald and Ruby. Almost instantly, Ashton stopped chanting and pointed his swords at the north-east direction. "The energy wave of a powerful being, I can feel it!"

All of the sudden, several SoF Assassin Ninjas leaped out from nearby bushes and buildings, surrounding the party of six.

".....!" Hiead grunted.
