Estes Park Fire - Smoke Detectors - for free! The EPVFD installs free smoke detectors to any person or family that applies and demonstrates a need for them... There is NO charge for the detectors, but the homeowner - or renter- must agree to maintain the smoke detector and change the batteries as recommended. Here's the application- print it now (CTRL + P) and mail it or fax it in to us. With any questions- call the station at 970-577-0900. Installations are usually done once per month, and are scheduled a few days in advance.
