History

Best friend of Charlie, Guile was the picture of a perfect American soldier. Trained in the Special Forces and on the streets as a child, Guile is a force to be reckoned with. His life was very straightforward, with little disruption, until a recon mission into Shadaloo territory went awry. Caught behind enemy lines, Guile and Charlie were tortured for weeks, until they managed to escape.

Guile ended up in a military hospital, while Charlie recovered, and started on a new mission to bring Shadaloo down by defeating M. Bison in the jungles of Vietnam. When Guile was well enough to travel, he searched for Charlie, and found nothing but bloody dog tags to tell the story of his friend's demise. Now fuelled by rage, Guile went into the Street Fighter tournament alone, leaving his frightened wife and daughter behind. Knowing M. Bison was sponsoring this year's contest, Guile knew he had a real chance at defeating him once and for all.

Guile is a deadly fighter, having the best reaction time of any warrior in the Street Fighter series. He has virtually no lag time after executing his Sonic Boom projectile, and his flash kick has a large priority factor. In fact, only the dragon punch can safely counter the power move. Add to that his anger and defensive posture, and you've got a fighter who can counter nearly everything thrown at him with little effort. He knows he will kill M.Bison should he defeat him in the fight, but little does he know that his family is racing to meet him at the final match and stop his murderous plans.
