Hello!

You are welcome to my site. It has been a while since I updated this site! I offer my apologies. My name is Albert Ssessanga Kiragga. You will learn about me and my family and how we live. This will be a glimpse into the life of a family living in the heart of Africa, to be exact in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.


I am a retired broadcast technician who worked with the government radio station called Radio Uganda. I joined the station in 1972 and retired in 2006. What I did and achieved in those years are spelled out in my CV.

I am married and have six children, four boys and two girls. Get to know more about these on the family page.

I do consultancy and installation of audio studios both for radio and recording.

I do music recording and have recorded choirs like Evangelical of Christ the King Parish Kampala, St Kizito Choir of Lugazi, Kasana-Luweero Youth Group, St Cecilia Choir Kiboga, Kiyinda-Mityana Diocese Silver jubilee album, St Augustine Choir Makerere University, Lord's Servants Choir Ndeeba Parish etc.

I am also involved in church activities. I am a member of the Kampala Archdiocesan Music Committee and also a member of Interdiocesan Music Comittee. This brings together six dioceses of the Catholic Church, namely, Archdiocese of Kampala, Masaka, Kiyinda-Mityana, Kasana Luweero, Lugazi and Jinja Dioceses.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

We celebrated our wedding anniversary, which comes around on 19th November, in a small way with friends and relatives.

UBC is born out of Radio Uganda and Uganda Television.

Towards the end of 2005 saw the merging of Radio Uganda and Uganda Television into a statutory corporation named Uganda Broadcasting Corporation.

Administration of Sacred/Liturgical Music in the Luganda speaking Dioceses of Uganda.
The responsibility of moderating sacred music in the Luganda speaking Dioceses of the Catholic Church in Uganda is on the Diocesan Music Committees. The membership on these committees is mainly from the laity who have a strong music background. The committees are chaired by Priests who are appointed by the local Bishop.
