it's interesting that herbal teas can be a significant source of mercury, no mention of amalgams in that study tho they are slightly brave and say
although we confirmed that seafood was a major dietary contributor to blood mercury levels in our study population, estimated intakes of the three seafood items evaluated in our study (white fish, oily fish, and shellfish) accounted for only 8.75% of the estimated variation in log-transformed blood mercury concentrations. Of interest are the increased mercury levels in women who drank herbal teas, as well as confirmation of a “protective effect” of foods such as french fries, white bread, and milk, and the question that is raised by these results: Where is the rest of the blood mercury coming from?

Kenneth madden (at the very
beginning of the dreambus live 2013 – day one trailer) constructs the “what is” paradigm in a useful way, that is, it's our reluctance to go outside our native behaviors and be what we are not, that is, the complement to what we are or “what is” ...... we have to see “what is” to know its inverse or modification !
non duality and zen have become an endless beating of a ringing of the bell of “what we know and have learnt” with a total constriction in any movement to
beyond what we are which is a practical doing thing that seasons the content of our talk and writings well beyond the usual blog and messageboard crap !

one of the most beautiful lyric pieces of writing i have ever read !
denys owned a piece of land down at the coast, thirty miles north of mombasa on the creek of takaunga
here were the ruins of an old arab settlement, with a very modest minaret and a well, — a weathered growth of grey stone on the salted soil, and in the midst of it a few old mango trees
he had built a small house on his land and i had stayed there.
the scenery was of a divine, clean, barren marine greatness, with the blue indian ocean before you, the deep creek of takaunga to the south, and the long steep unbroken coast-line of pale grey and yellow coral-rock as far as the eye reached.
when the tide was out, you could walk miles away seawards from the house, as on a tremendous, somewhat unevenly paved piazza, picking up strange long peaked shells and starfish.
the swaheli fishermen came wandering along here, in a loin-cloth and red or blue turbans, like sindbad the sailor come to life, to offer for sale multi-coloured spiked fish, some of which were very good to eat
the coast below the house had a row of scooped-out deep caves and grottoes, where you sat in shade and watched the distant glittering blue water.
when the tide came in, it filled up the caves to the level of the ground on which the house was built, and in the porous coral-rock the sea sang and sighed in the strangest way, as if the ground below your feet were alive; the long waves came running up takaunga creek like a storming army.
it was full moon while i was down at takaunga, and the beauty of the radiant, still nights was so perfect that the heart bent under it.
you slept with the doors open to the silver sea; the playing warm breeze in a low whisper swept in a little loose sand, on to the stone floor.
one night a row of arab dhows came along, close to the coast, running noiselessly before the monsoon, a file of brown shadow-sails under the moon

i'm familiar with the stomach issues with wheat, and that often people don't realize they may have an allergy or sensitivity, until they cut it from their diet and feel much better.
i didn't see anything about wheat causing brain problems, though.
i've looked at your BCD before, but it's hard to find stuff there you may consider reorganizing it...
i asked because i'm planning on starting a bakery of sorts (and have some experience with the bread baking process). moderation may be the important point.
it also seems like the strain of wheat makes a difference; there's a movement to reintroduce older strains that are supposed to be healthier. i'll have to read more about that.
my reply
do a google search on endorphins opiates wheat !
the brain evolved out of the gut so there's a huge commonality of biochemical pathways, serotonin for example ! :o()
my experience is that the strain of wheat doesn't make enough of a difference !
and anyway it would cost more and you would be competing against bakers who use a cheaper strain and an ignorant lowest price paying public !
the problem with my web pages is time unfortunately !
i need to get a better free search engine for the site, on the “to do list” !
the best business advice i can give you is this volunteer stuff advice on the web only costs heaps in both time and forgone income and generates the occasional person who wants to kill you :o)
i got some very good advice from the housemaster of the cambridge zen center in 1990, an african american woman with an obsession with the colour blue about my chronic overvolunteering, i can't not do it, but like with web stuff, i always make sure that the primary purpose of what i do is to extend my knowledge in useful ways !
that advice btw was the only good advice i ever got in zen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i knew some-one years ago who opened up a pizza place, it was a financial disaster for her, she was a very good cook, but i think the viral exposure of constantly dealing with people did her and the business in !
if you can talk and correspond with me you are on autistic spectrum for sure and any business you do wants to have minimal contact with people !
plus you are very capable and can do much better financially than a bakery which you will just walk away from in the end !
why not try something more suited to your skills and abilities like advertising, when you see the twits raking in the dough for doing nothing except plagiarizing and putting over a con job on clients then some-one with actual ability like yourself has to do ok :o)
there's heaps of room for an effective advertiser on the net, it's not being done properly at all at the moment, heaps of effective advertising space just there for the asking and the right sort of ad with a much higher informational quality component with stronger interactivity and blurring between real life and the fanatsy world of the ad ! :o)(
honestly advertising is just a con game where you try to convince clients to front up to pay for something of marginal utility, but like any con game there's alot of money if you get it right !
aim to do something that can make alot of money and maybe you will make a reasonable amount, but a bakery which might make a bit will only cost you the deadness of doing something you don't want to do and a wasted life :o(
my talents are artistic, but i was brought up in an anti-artistic culture and wasted my time working in electronics for many years, but in hindsight i would have made a very good art dealer because i have an eye for what is really good art and likely to be popular, i had no idea it was a special ability and others couldn't do it to the extent they always had an inverted view of what was likely to be popular or great art ! :o()
to do well financially in life you need to find an area that you are effortlessly able in, otherwise you will just muddle along !

I haven't tried the mag l-threonate but I would be abit suss of it feeding biofilm/microbiome as it is a mineral salt and not a chelate !

confessions of a fucked up zen teacher by herb deer
why not start to look at how the thing/war between men and women really works ? women know how it works !!!!!!!!!!!!!! sex is a machine designed to render the genders vulnerable to each other, but intellectually women always have the upper hand, evolution has designed things that way so that children can be successfully reared and so perpetuate the usual disaster area :o)
the biggest turn off in pornography is the women are extremely dissociated and damaged in a very dead and depressing way, if you look more deeply at it, you are not tempted that's for sure, exploitation doesn't begin to cover it, its a very dull and negative paradigm that is dangerous to provider and user !
zen is much more interesting if you accept and embrace its intellectual component, that is, working out an astute understanding of life and how it and all the involvements really work :o)
I have at last found a non rancid krill oil, the blackmore's “ecokrill” (ed. discontinued) it is “ Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified ” so that is what I think you should look for, krill oil has phospholipids in as well as the omega three's and I think it distinctly helps with memory !

dave st. germain asks
What's so bad about wheat flour?
Can you point to any studies?
my reply
this is quite abig question and has a number of different contexts !
from the points of view of the
specific carbohydrate diet and the biofilm/
microbiome carbohydrate diet
the problem with grains is that when there is poor control by the gut of the biofilm/microbiome then grains and especially wheat
super strongly promote a malign microbiome which in its extreme causes irritable bowel syndrome, gluten sensitivity, chron's and conditions of that ilk !
so it's more cut and dried if you look at it from that point of view !
if you are looking at it from a heart/cardiovascular health point of view dr. william
davis is quite good value though in general i disagree with a lot of his approach, but his experience is there is a super radical improvement in cardiovascular health and cholesterol levels by getting his patients to give up wheat !
studies that expose large commercial interests like wheat farming and food processing don't get funded because these special interest groups react strongly to the possibility of scientific evidence being created that can used to successfully sue them................
so what studies there are will be in the context of digestive diseases...............
actually i have just spent a week with my parents who as usual don't understand my not eating wheat products but my experience again and again is i do better eliminating them both from a gut and brain health point of view
the implementation of this is not straightforward because the removal of grains has a tendency to being constipating since you have less fermentation byproducts in the gut............but i have written up on this in the biofilm/microbiome carbohydrate diet !
there is an argument that wheat today is bred to something unrecognisable in terms of what was eaten in the nineteen sixties, being much higher in gluten with less digestible starches now and this is the stand that william davis takes............
food today is a nightmare and requires an intelligent, informed and discriminatory approach that is an anathema to people in my observation ! :o()
if you put the work sorting this sort of thing out in you will get good results but that means many hours a week, which again appears to be beyond today's entertainment addicted generations ! : o(

i reallythink that zazen (the seated meditation of zen) is bad for one's health..............!
one sees it time and time again, the circulation problems and endless health issues of long term zazen sitters !
------------------------
“ in most cases, classic alien-hand signs derive from damage to the medial frontal cortex, accompanying damage to the corpus callosum.
in these patients the main cause of damage is unilateral or bilateral infarction of cortex in the territory supplied by the anterior cerebral artery or associated arteries.
oxygenated blood is supplied by the anterior cerebral artery to most medial portions of the frontal lobes and to the anterior two thirds of the corpus callosum, and infarction may consequently result in damage to multiple adjacent locations in the brain in the supplied territory
as the medial frontal lobe damage is often linked to lesions of the corpus callosum, frontal variant cases may also present with callosal form signs ”
“ the corpus callosum is the thick fibrous barrier between the left and right half of your brain
it's the thick band that passes communication from left to right or right to left. It's how your creative side, talks to your logical side
The studies indicate that some with lesions in the corpus callosum have more cognitive issues, and some more visual issues
The halves of your brain can have a lesion in the direct path of communication between the two, and that can cause mental confusion, higher emotions or lower emotions, as well as the inability to problem solve ”
lynn, who has ms writes
My first MRI report stated that I had “numerous” demyleninating plaques in my Corpus Callosum (as well as a number of other places)
Confusion, loss of problem solving skills, lack of higher order thinking, short term memory, an inability to follow instructions and so on have been a MAJOR problem with me since day one.
Scary stuff, but it's good to know why. Thank God for Tysabri - I haven't been this well for years. I wish I knew what that will mean for me in the future - or maybe I am better off not knowing.

quoting from toni packer's book the work of this moment page 95
In the midst of this vast, unfathomable, ever-changing, dying, and renewing flow of life, the human brain is ceaselessly engaged in trying to fix for itself a state of permanency and certainty. Having the capacity to think and form pictures of ourselves, to remember them and become deeply attached to them, we take this world of pictures and ideas for real.

true dharma is not for sale by herb deer
well unfortunately zen is for sale for the price of sex ! zen has several problems apart from the fact that a fair portion of the “teachers” appear to be minimally socially skilled sex maniacs, it is tainted with the problems of being rooted in the japanese meiji and post meiji nationalist era, it is anti-intellectual when all the evidence is that chan wasn't, but most killingly it has been displaced by non-duality and neo-advaita making this sort of thing intensely competitive so there being no money in teaching is a fait accompli I am afraid :o)(
reclaiming sandy soil by charles ringling
[...] if your going to grow anything then you need to revive the dead sand of san diego soil. I grew up in ohio and my uncle owned a farm, I also learned the ohio indian methods in scout camp. the best way is by digging up the area at least 18 inches and filling it with organic material, things like rejected food items, banana peels, egg shells, coffee grounds (are great and repel pest), and treated grass and leaves. then you cover it up when it's is about 6 inches worth of stuff. to treat the grass you need to seal it in a trash bag and leave it in the sun for about a month, this kills all organic material in it. after that go get a few earth worms and dump em in, a dozen will do because they will get fat and reproduce fast. In six months you have good soil and can grow big giant tomatoes but dump used coffee grounds and dead lemon grass around the plants to repel almost everything.

I evaporate it throughout the whole day and stop 2/1.5 hours before i go to sleep (don't like to go to bed while under influence plus i still sleep better), I try to keep it at a maximum of one day per two weeks.

metronomic went back into his mouse hole and another mouse, tho abit braver ! :o)( calling him/herself anand dorje stepped into the fray by writing
Many words fill space that needn't be filled;
my reply
what sort of space is
podtoid ? no wonder you are inarticulate ! the ineloquent give all sorts of excuses for their lack of attention and slackness ! zen seems to have become sort of justification for getting lost in entertainment these days :o( you know, let's pretend do zen and spend our spare time lost in media and then cause we can't talk about zen then no-one else is allowed to !

The words of the inane are worth more than the words of the arrogant;
my reply
the words of the arrogant are worth more than those of inane ! ever read dogen ? not exactly mr. humble was he !
you never addressed my questioning your wasting your time with things like podtoid, in other words you are just a pretend zen fraud , what you are doing, i can't begin to guess, zen is a real doing thing, not some zazen tranquilizer that most seem to take it for !
anand cuntdorja replies
What is reading Dogen worth when all you become is more opinionated and presumptuous? When you assume entertainment is bad, you fall into one of two. But in essence it is empty. Your words are superficial and empty and don't hit the essential string of life, because you never lived life. You view yourself living life as a “good zen student” . There is a difference between transcending the watcher and being the watcher. If you transcend the watcher, the inane becomes wisdom.
my replies
“the inane becomes wisdom”, yes in your fantasy universe but not buddha's ! you are so ignorant that you don't realise your crimped views of “grunt zen” come from the militarist/ nationalist meiji zen that is predominant in the west after being brought across by some japanese almost war criminal unemployed zen masters after WW2 ! my writing hits the nail on the head and your saying otherwise only shows your wrong mindedness ! :o)(
you can write a load of crap but you are only fooling yourself ! not only do you not have a clue what it is about but you are submerged in the substitutive reality of entertainment, a huge problem with the younger generations today who are so used to swallowing media swill they have no idea of what quality creative work is let alone producing any themselves !
anand cuntdorja replies
:-) note that you are construing a person out of his youtube history and a few comments. What reality are you living in?
I think you don't know much zen. You talk a lot. You preach. Maybe the theistic religions would have suited you better.
my reply
your fake bullshit religious nick (ed. ananda dorje means the happiness of the immutable essense of reality as it is ! faint chance :o( and cretinism and studied ignorance speak the truth ! you are full of “about” and entirely lacking in any actual doing except your promotion of meiji zen fascism ! i have seen this “Grunt zen” so many times, its historical precedents are dumbing down men so they would fight for the land of the rising sun without thinking, but this glorification of ignorance in your case is just so you can continue spewing clichés and having a life of substitutive reality in media crap and fool yourself because you are not fooling any one else you pitiful crap artist
if you know a subject and do it, you can talk clearly and proficiently about it, the zen greats all could, only the ignorant stupids hide behind their dormant crude and truly wrong minded silence
a challenge ! say something original and with insight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no cliches allowed tho i am sure that is what you will spew, no work and no mind of your own ! just one honest comment about how you spend your time ! ?
anand cuntdorja replied but deleted
his own comment !
“ No man can be original unless you ignore the truth of emptiness.
You are a conceited, petty little man that can only resort to weak ad hominems, which is funny because you have absolutely no idea who I am, what part of my nick is real or not. You fail to recognize anything beyond your own narrow scope of “accepted” reality. The joke is on you, because all reality is ultimately accepted ”
my reply
so commenting on what you deleted (why did you delete it, don't be afraid to be yourself even if you don't look good !)
you are saying that the truth of emptiness and infinity is not revealed in originality, that's totally heterodox and you must be in a bad space to think that !
secondly all reality is ultimately not accepted, our condition is one of estrangement and your claiming all reality is accepted and our condition is not estranged is the usual new age advaita viewpoint and is heterodox !
my closing comment
metronomic and cunt dorje, though not without some talent are only interested in looking good, when the vast gap between just learning clichéd bullshit and the real hard work of zen opens up, it's too much for them, they lack any sort of insight about the abatement of self, indeed hate any movement in that direction and just F L A K E A W A Y ............... :o(

a good page of
diogenes quotes
! :o)(
sepehr g. quotes
a young man contemplating marriage questioned diogenes.
“ should i marry? ”
“ marriage is too soon for a young man ”
“ would you have me wait then until i am old ”
“ oh no, marriage is far too late for an old man ”
“ what am i to do then? i love the girl ”
“ love is a luxury no one can afford. it is for those who have nothing better to do ”
“ what should we be doing then ”
“ to seek freedom. but it is not possible to be free if you have a wife and children ”
“ but having a wife and family is so agreeable ”
“ then you see the problem, young man. freedom would not be so difficult to attain were prison not so sweet ”
“ you mean to be free is to be alone ”
“ we come into the world alone and we die alone. why, in life, should we be any less alone ”
“ to live, then, is terrible ”
“ no, not to live, but to live in chains ”
my reply
well if he loved her and he was not too fragile he could/should marry her, he takes the weight of his life through love so that weight is important !
freedom is not important in itself except what it permits which must be love itself but in a different form, ie the communion with infinity
what I am saying and you are not hearing is manga/tezuka is not the communion...............it's a substitute...............
