I live in a small town in central Missouri. I have been studying martial arts for over 18 years now. My achivements
enclude: a 6th degree black belt in kajukembo, a 9th degree black belt in shotokan karate, a 4th degree black belt in ninjitsu,
and a 7th degree black belt in aikido. Also I have spent 2 years in training around the world learning the aspects of all
styles possible. I have reached a point in my life where I would like to teach what I have learned. To do so I have created
the Qing Long Institute. I began teaching Qing Long 7 years ago in my local area. My teachings began with
basic self defense for teens and adults. Over the course of 3 years I began to notice I was teaching all for the same
reason. Almost all of my students had someone that wished them harm. The basis for qing long is to spread the
knowledge that violence is a pathway to peril. I began then spreading my teachings in schools and private instruction.
It is my belife that if we as practitioners and instructors can inpact the youth of our areas by teaching not only the phisical
aspects of martial arts but also the values of life. In todays society alot of children are left without the basic values
of life because in most cases both parents have to work to support the family. Qing Long is an extension of family that
helps to instill those values at a young age. In the short history of qing long I have graduated 65 students from the
first level of Qing Long. All of which cary above average marks in school, are active in the community, and all and
all live very well rounded lives. And that is what my dream is. Even if its just the handful of people I meet
along the way, I can teach them and protect them with my teachings. Thus helping to ensure their happiness and success.
