Jupiter

The 5th planet in the Sol System, a gas giant planet. Jupiter has an equitorial diameter of 142,700 kilometers and it orbits the sun at about 778 million kilometers. Stationed in orbit around Jupiter are several key Starfleet facilities, including Utopia Planitia shipyards, Jupiter Station, and Jupiter Outpost 92. All three suffered severe damage during the Vendoth invasion of 2376, and all but Jupiter Station are still somewhat functional. Jupiter Station was forced into the Jupiter atmosphere and was crushed by severe pressure. It is already in the process of being rebuilt.
