 After Superman died at
the hands of Doomsday, a creature who lives to kill
and evolve, Project Cadmus wanted to clone Superman,
but couldn't so they created a new clone.
The clone was the closest human they could create
that was similar to Superman. They cloned Project
director Paul Westfield, a selfish person. The project
started speed-ageing the clone; he grew from one cell
to a 15 year old under a week. They started putting
'chrono-specific' information so that he would know
whatever average person to the age he was would know.
Just before they were going to plant codes into the
clone so that Westfield would have control over the
clone, a group of cloned kids named 'The Newsboy Legion'
broke him out at about the age of 15. Thinking that
he was the clone of Superman he headed to Metropolis
to defend his city. A hero was born.
