Now that you've passed your test....What can you expect?
Well, you either passed your test to be a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) or, you already are one.
What was it that you were taught, learned, and wanted out of this field, and what motivated you to get into the field?
All of these questions, can and will be answered, but only with your help. I can't do this without you. I am a CNA. I love the work.
I only wish, I had done this much sooner than at the ripe age of 42. I see so many young ladies and gentlemen getting off to a beginning that can be somewhat rocky, and completely frustrating at times. I realize this. I had the same experience. But, it is NOT WITHOUT IT'S REWARDS!!! Trust me. There are many roads to walk in this field. It is not to be taken as a "dead end job". Don't let anyone tell you this. They are Wrong.!!!
You will encounter times of frustration, heartache, happiness, laughter, the warm touch of a person much older than you, or more ill than you can imagine, and each and every day, will bring to you a sense of a new warmth and strength, that only you can rely on, to make your day of learning more advanced and knowledgeable.
In my home page, I described a paragraph that said "God gives us this special feature, and our endurance comes from another power within"
That is your heart and soul. You must let your heart and soul also help with the strength to make decisions in your every day care of these people build a strength within you. God will guide the rest.
Remember, We are all in this together, and the only way we can unite on this subject is to make it clear what we feel is needed, and voice your interests regarding this subject.
We, Family, Friends, Nurses, Residents,
soon to be Certified Assistants,
are all in this together. It is up to us to
unite, and help create a Website, that our
Nursing Home Facilities can read, learn from
and understand the changes that affect
our elderly every day, and help maintain the
quality of excellence for all who reside, and work
within these walls.
