Web Changes
This is where we'll announce the most recent
additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed,
take a look here first.
The entire web site has once again got its face lift
which has been finalized. This look is here to stay.
The site structure has been modified. The new
structure is much easier to navigate.
The Site Map section is a new addition which
graphically depicts the contents of the web site, thus allowing a user to navigate
instantly to any page with a single click.
The gallery section is another addition to the site.
It contains pictures of the school and concerning it.
The Interact Club Section has been deleted due to
another site present on the web which is official. La Martiniere is now directly linked to
the web site.
An all new club section, The Computer Club has been
added! Be sure to visit the pages for weekly updates and all members keep your eyes on the
bulletin board!
New features such as the sidebar have been
included to provide random links to pages.
The top navigation bar makes it extremely
easy to directly navigate to the main pages.
The Profile and News pages are some more new
additions which provide the latest substantial information about the school.
A glitch in the code caused the school song
to not play in the History section. We are still workin on the fix. As of now, you
can hear the song if you have a midi plug-in or Internet Explorer.
Some invalid links have been fixed and due
to the facelift, great textual modifications have been made.
The Nature Club and Computer Club too have
separate web sites to ensure versatility and flexibilty in administration and appearance.
The Nature Club and Computer Club web sites have been separated
and invalid links repaired.
The size of the new site has been decreased and so viewing times
will be much less making the pages significantly faster to load.
The Java technology which was used for some features has been
eliminated which contributes towards speed and also backward compatibility.
A few minor changes have been made to the Faculty Files section
to update the database.
Since we won more awards, the credits page has been updated.
A navigation links bar has been added to the bottom of every
page to facilitate the movement to some other pages not included in the top bar.
