Registered on 23 Sep 1882, Hiram purchased 50 acres of land on Beaver Dam Creek from the Estate of George W. Candler adjoining his land and Samuel Taylor's land. Also mentions Benjamin Smith's corner (289).

According to Find a Grave, Hiram died in 1900. His wife was Matilda Jones, b: 1810, d: 1890. They both are buried in the Brown View, United Methodist Church Cemetery, Candler, Buncombe Co., North Carolina (288).

Washington Davis

Washington Davis, born 1812 in North Carolina (Per 1850 Census) son of John Davis and Margaret Waggoner. He was listed in the 1840 Southern Division, Buncombe Co., North Carolina Census with 1 male -5, 1 male 20-30, 1 female -5, 1 female 5-10, and 1 female 20-30 (pg. 165, line 08) (59). Washington was mentioned in both his father John and Margaret's Wills. On 27 Sep 1844 (Reg. on 27 Sep 1845), William Davis and family along with his siblings; Elizabeth Fox and family, Margaret Cook and family, James Davis, and Martha Davis sold 100 acres of land on Reems creek to 'Washington, mentions No. West corner of 500 acres of land once belonging to Jacob Waggoner and granted to their father John Davis (282). On that same day again, William and siblings sold 100 acres of land on Reems creek to their brother James Davis on the No. East side of the French Broad River opposite the mouth of Newfound Creek on Reems Creek, including the house and plantation where John Davis deceased lived (283). On 04 Nov 1845 Washington and his siblings sold 100 acres of land on Reems Creek to their brother William (290). On 01 Apr 1846 Washington and his family along with his siblings sold 200 acres of land on Lee's Mill Creek to Lewis Fore (291).

According to his 1812 Pension Papers, John married Nancy Ayers on 16 Oct 1818, Newberry Dist., South Carolina. John died on 02 May 1872, Madison Co., North Carolina (326).

James Newton Davis was born 1823 (Per 1850 Census) in North Carolina, the son of John Davis and Margaret Waggoner. James was mentioned in his mother Margaret's Wills (Not his fathers as John made his Will before James was born). On 27 Sep 1844 (Reg. on 27 Sep 1845), James along with his siblings; Elizabeth Fox and family, Margaret Cook and family, William Davis, and Martha Davis sold 100 acres of land on Reems creek to their brother Washington, mentions No. West corner of 500 acres of land once belonging to Jacob Waggoner and granted to their father John Davis (282). According to Find a Grave James was born 25 Sep 1823, died: 14 Jul 1911. And according to Sophronia's Death Certificate, she was born 18 Jun 1821 in North Carolina. Parents listed were: John Heron and Nancy Mackey. The are buried in the Longs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Weaverville, Buncombe Co., North Carolina (299).

Henry J. Davis

Henry J. Davis, born 1827 (Per 1850 Census), North Carolina, son of Benjamin and Mary "Polly" Davis. His family was listed in the 1850 Buncombe Co., North Carolina Census: Henry; 23, NC, Benj. Elzira _____, born 1817 (Per 1850 Census), South Carolina. I have not been able to find which Davis she was married to. She was listed as head of household in the 1850 Buncombe Co., North Carolina Census: Elzira; 33, SC, Julia C., NC 10, James M.; 8, NC, Margaret J.; 6, NC, Martha; 5; NC, Jordan Langford; 23, NC (pg 234, household 524) (13).

Elzira married second to William Waggoner on 01 Mar 1860 in Buncombe Co., North Carolina (North Carolina Marriages). Robert married Mary Plemmons on 02 Jan 1852 (331). Robert purchased 100+ acres of land on the waters of Spring Creek from Ransom P. Merrill on 15 Oct 1858 (388).

Minzy Davis

Minzy Davis, born 1825 (Per 1850 Census), Buncombe Co., North Carolina, the son of Nathaniel Davis and Dolly Thomas. He married Lucretia Roberts (McPheters) on 20 Dec 1849 in Buncombe Co., North Carolina (336). Their family was listed in the 1850 Buncombe Co., North Carolina Census: Minzy; 25, NC, Crecy; 24, NC, Charles McPheters; 7, NC, Emeline McPheters; 5, NC, Mary Ann McPheters; 3, NC (pg. 302, household 1430) (13).

According to Find a Grave, Lucretia married for a third time to Thomas Sawyer. She died on 16 May 1900 in Madison Co., North Carolina and is buried in the Big Pine Cemetery, Big Pine, Madison Co., North Carolina (338).
