Easter 1998

Our two children and their families visited us at the beach this year at Easter. Curt, Gail and Patrick came down Friday evening and went back Tuesday. Candy, Derek, Talia and Taylor came down Saturday evening and stayed about a week. We really look forward to these visits and family time. Here are some pictures taken during these visits.

Above are a couple of pictures of our grandson, Patrick Guyer, spending some time on the beach with his Mom and Dad. It was a bright, cool day with the wind blowing off the ocean, making it a little nippy!

This (right) is a great shot taken by Gail, Curt's wife and Pat's Mother.Pat and Curt on the beach.

Below is another picture of Pat sitting on a bike on our Slate Patio behind the house. He was taking a break from hunting Easter Eggs.

Talia Cay Valencia, our granddaughter just found an Easter Egg in a clump of Love Grass in our back yard (below).

Below are our two grown children; Curtis on the left and Candice on the right. This was just before they took off down the street. Notice how well equipped they are with helmets, gloves, pads, etc. Curt has been blading for a while, but Candy is just learning.

Oh well, might as well tell the ending. Curt ending up taking Candy to the Medical Access Facility here on the beach with a broken wrist. Unfortunately, it was a very bad break and they had to take her to the hospital in Elizabeth City by ambulance. She had to see an orthopedic surgeon when she got home to Maryland. See Picture below.....................Some vacation, eh

This (right) is the external brace that was installed on Candy's wrist. As strange as it looks, Candy said it did not hurt very much having it removed.

Our grandchildren enjoyed playing together, most of the time. Below are some pictures of them at play. On the right are cousins, Talia and Pat; on the left are cousins, Taylor and Pat.

Derek and his plane.

Derek enjoyed flying his plane off our deck, until it ended up on our roof. It finally blew off with a strong gust of wind.

And finally, here is a snapshot of Derek, our son-in-law, cleaning up after dinner. With three grandkids between the ages of 2 and 8 there is sometimes a few crumbs of food on the floor after a meal.
