Candice is our daughter and the younger of our two children. She and her husband, Derek, live in Frederick, MD, and are the parents of our first grandchild, Talia Cay, and our third grandchild, Taylor Chase. Candy does child care in her home, and has an extensive background in flowers and plants. She worked as a florist for Giant Food for many years, before she chose to stay home when their second child, Taylor, was born. She is devoted to her children, enjoys cooking and loves the beach.

When Candy can mix all three together -- her children, cooking, and the beach -- she is at her happiest. Candy was born in Virginia in 1965, and met Derek when they both worked for Giant Food.
This is a fairly recent picture of Candy, taken at my Mother's 75th birthday party. Candy picked out the cake for this event, and of course, it was red velvet -- her favorite.
	Here she is in her backyard garden in Frederick.

Candy broke her wrist at Easter roller blading with her brother and sister-in-law. It was a bad break and the picture on the right is the external pinning instrument that was put on it. It has been removed now, and she is healing slowly.
