HAMILTON'S FIRST BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ON OCTOBER 18, 1892 seventeen original subscribers to a revived watch industry or- ganized with J.W. B. Bausman as acting president. Five men who were elected to serve one year as directors met on November 11, 1892 and named the enterprise Hamilton Watch Company. With the other original subscribers, they filed articles of incorporation with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on November 18, 1892. Governor Robert E, Pattison issued letters of patent and enrolled the new corporation in the Book of State Charters on December 14, 1892,.
