The Beretta 92 FS, designated M9 by the U.S. Military, fires a 9 mm round with a muzzle velocity of 390 mps and is a semi automatic pistol operating on a short recoil, delayed locking block system, which yields a faster cycle time. It features a lightweight, forged frame, made from aircraft quality aluminum alloy. The slide and other steel components are coated with bruniton, a Teflon based material that provides superior corrosion resistance and reduced friction between frame and slide. |

The SIG SAUER P228, designated M11 by the U.S. Military, fires a 9 mm round and is a semiautomatic, double action pistol, holding a minimum of eight rounds. It is a compact version of the M9, used by military police, flight crews, armor crews, intelligence and CID agents, general officers, and any additionally approved personnel. The Colt .45, designated M1911A by the Marines, fires a minimum of eight .45 Automatic Colt Pistol rounds, nine if you have one chambered already and it can also be equipped with an extended magazine. It is a single action pistol, which means you have to manually pull back the hammer for the first shot, but will then have semi automatic fire until your clip runs out. This weapon is no longer standard issue, but is still used by some. |
