The Vision

This is an actual, unretouched photograph depicting a phenomenon that occurred while photographing the flowers surrounding the casket at the funeral home where Walter F. Cottrell lay in state.

In Memory

Death for my Dad is not an end.
        It is only the beginning

Of a new life in a new world;

A world of only fullfilled dreams and happiness;

A world where pain and suffering are not welcomed;

A world where he can embrace the lost loves of the past,

And look down upon and guide the loved ones left behind.

As I wait to see my Dad in this new world someday

I will learn to see the world through his eyes.

I will learn to love as he loved,

Finding beauty to love in everything he touched;
And as I wait to see my Dad again,

I hope I will have this power to love as he did.

I will make the best of my world today

With the bright hope of that new world tomorrow.
I love you Dad;

And I know

That heaven just needed one more Angel.
