3RMT and Triple R

In the late 1970s 3RMT, the station owned and operated by RMIT University moved off campus, into new premises in Cardigan Street Carlton. It is now located in Victoria Street Fitzroy.  RMIT continues to fund Triple R and has a representative on the board.  Media students at RMIT also run their own show on the station called "Room with A view".  SRA-FM has limited contact with Triple R, but has acted as a valuable training ground for many Triple R's new announcers.

Triple R is now Australia's most successful community broadcasting station. It uses the frequency 102.7, and broadcasts a wide range of shows, specialising in alternative music, the arts, issues, education and information.

This section of the site is under construction, but will be complete soon.
